Here's about an hour and a quarter's worth of railway action at this busy and rather unique South East London level crossing on Charlton Lane right near the Thames Barrier. This level crossing is quite unique in that it still has its very clearly-audible externally-mounted mechanical bells, even in 2024, and these rather oddly pulse completely out-of-sync with each other creating quite an unusual and clang-y sound. Numerous services from Southeastern and Thameslink, as well as an empty freight service from nearby Angerstein Wharf, can be seen using this busy line and passing this very efficiently-operated level crossing that's controlled from the tiny adjacent crossing box. The crossing wasn't lowered until trains left either nearby station and was rarely down for much over a minute or two - a number of lowerings are even un-cut!
