Trains At Railroad Crossings In Lockland Ohio. Norfolk Southern Trains With DPUs Next To Industrial Buildings. Indiana & Ohio Railway train passing a CSX Train and trains passing on a railroad bridge in Winton Place, Cincinnati, Ohio. This is the CSX line that Norfolk Southern and Indiana And Ohio Railway also share.
First we see trains in Lockland, Ohio on the Norfolk Southern line. I was last here a year ago on April 1, 2022 shortly after a home burnt. A train had stopped and was blocking the crossings which made it a longer response for the fire department. That home is still vacant. See my video from last year. The Mueller buildings in Lockland are great photo props and are next to the railroad crossings.
Then we go to Sharonville to see a local switching freight reversing back to the yard. That train usually has a caboose but not today.
The next train is a Norfolk Southern intermodal train at Winton Place. This is my first time to film at this spot which is just down from Frisches Restaurant.
Then I went to the other side of the tracks and just down a short way to the Mill Creek bridge. An Indiana & Ohio train led by an Ohio Central locomotive passes a CSX train waiting on the main. A couple of CSX trains pass on the bridge over Mill Creek. Best frequencies for this area are 160.230 for CSX, 160.980 for Norfolk Southern and 161.385 for IORY. I usually only listen to a couple of frequencies at the same time otherwise it gets too busy and you miss the trains calling out the line side signals.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I appreciate your dedication to providing us total strangers, the viewing public, with some of the best railroad videos to be found! Yeah, some of the places you go can be repetitive, but always good train action, then BAM! Another location I hadn't seen before, and your commentary is always informative and sometimes humorous. Happy Birthday, JT! They knew it was your birthday, so they made sure to have a DPU for you. That stack train was very cool - it had a very small roadrailer section and a ton of empties :) Nice to know that the crews recognize you. Makes for a good horn salute.

Those old tunnels are wonderful. I like how they use the natural rock and just go through it. Love the night train. Take care JT

You were in Carlisle Ohio about a week ago and filmed 2 videos of the train tracks about a 100 yards apart. Well on Sunday on my way to church, I saw a train I had never saw before, I'm 70 years old. Have you ever saw a rail grinding train? This one was parked on a side rail on the west side of town. I stopped and took pictures, spoke to a worker. He said they worked at night, something about the humidity and temperature. He said they were scheduled to leave around 6 PM and head towards Dayton , I believe on the NS track.

Happy Birthday, JT. Another great video. I noticed that the 2nd unit on the 2nd train, the grainer, was locomotive 1011. It's kind of a distinctive number that has stuck in my head and you have filmed it in several other videos. I also remember that particular car on the gondola train too. Great job. Thanks.
