Trainspotting is one of my favorite films of all time and it has a very worthy successor as well, which is why I am proud to say I edited in under a day simply because I was enjoying myself so much. What started out as just a fun practice idea turned into a whole vid. Really happy cause it’s the first time I posted in over 3 months.
This video is very Mark oriented and far darker than both films are in actuality but I wanted to focus on one of the underlying themes in trainspotting.
Addiction.
Addiction for Mark has always torn him between right and wrong decisions and he always lands somewhere in the middle, I wanted to display that confusion that he goes through throughout both films with mostly just the editing. I hope you Enjoy!

My heart just broke in the most gentle, comforting way. No other film invokes nostalgia in me like Trainspotting and T2. This edit is genius on a Danny Boyle level. Thank you.

This is amazing. I loved both movies as much as each other as they both dealt with different issues with the same characters and approached it in different ways as they're both different in their filming style. Love the movies as they are some of my favourites and love this video. Well done.

My man died of a heroine overdose last February and I am so choosing LIFE❤. In a way by dying he gave me life as I was on this mission - trying to save him. Now I'm free. It's fucking hard at times, but much easier then when he was still in his body. His wisdom, truth and epic stories live on within me and I'm grateful he was in my life. Love you always David Wood.

Incredible video man. I was lucky enough to see T2: Trainspotting in the one theater that was showing it in Ohio. Trainspotting 1&2 both resonate with me because of its music, fashion, and metaphorical meaning. It's crazy how much me and Renton dress alike. It's really cool how the crew updated these characters; as well as bringing them back to life.
