It will be the power house for a 34 mile round trip scenic excursion. Up and down mountains, through a 900+ ft. long tunnel, a really neat horseshoe curve. From Cumberland, MD to Frostburg, MD. NOTE...turn up the volume on the first whistle. In real life, the 1309 whistle is at least twice as loud.

i went to go see the 1309 when it was first back on the rails in WM, and it had that second whistle, that absolutely beautiful yet haunting tone. but now it has (i believe) a PRR whistle and sounds boring as all get out! i LOVED the whistle it had, the deep and high pitches were stunning. i have friends coming from Canada to see her and I've hyped the whistle up so much, now I'm so disappointed 😞

How to make 1309 look more like a WM engine. Step 1. Remove number boards. Step 2. Swap C&O pilot with WM style pilot. Step 3. Add visorless Sunbeam Style headlight. & finally step 4. Add long bell style 3 chime whistle.

The second Whistle sound alot better, then that N&W Hooter from the A Class Engines

My Question from other people is, how the heck is it gonna fit on the turntable? are they gonna have it unhook from the front at Frostburg then have it pull the back? Or will they have an engine at the back? last question was a bit dumb but just curious.
