Күн бұрынThe Trait Theory is one of the oldest leadership theories in existence. In this video, we'll describe trait theory and briefly examine six trait theory studies:
- Ralph Stogdill (1948)
- Ralph Stogdill (1974)
- McCall and Lombardo (1983)
- Kouzes and Posner (1987)
- Kirkpatrick & Locke (1991)
- Zaccaro, Kemp, and Bader (2004)
Once we've done that, we'll examine the advantages and disadvantages of trait theory before wrapping up.

Theory of traits and personality appears dangerous. If you believe you are set in a certain way, it could sap your energy and confidence to learn and behave differently.

This all seems self-perpetuating. It's not even clear what counts as leadership. It is easy to mis-identify who the leader is because you are looking for the traits.

Its just information to keep in mind. This isnt hard science because everyone has a different definition of what makes a good leader. But you can get a general gist of it by knowing the traits
