The Shaykh mentions signs of the lovers of Allah and reveals an act of worship which is necessary for the seeker of the path to be engaging in to become part of this elite group. Finally, Shaykh Abdur-Rahman mentions the invaluable advices that the great Tabi'i Uways al-Qarni gave to Haram ibn Hayyan regarding the traits of Allah's Friends.

Notes: • A person misses Allah (swt). • Prostrating to Allah (swt) (as the head and face are one of the most noble parts of the body and have lowered and touched the lowest place / the ground). • Tahajud salah. • Constantly remembering death. • Not going against one’s Muslim community.

thank you my brother for a very good lecture and a very powerful duaa at the end ameen to it .quick question how about when you are trying to be a good muslim sometimes your own family look at you As being strange or being too righteous how do we deal with that.

This is a dupe of Shaitan. He will incite these in others to sobatage your spiritual progress. Remember he is our enemy. However this does Not mean we look at our Family as sinners as this is another trick of shaitan. But we sincerely make dua for ourselves and our family and the entire ummah that Allah guide and keep us guided. As the Shaykh mentioned every good we do is the towfik of Allah even the faraid hence we thank HIM for the gifts. Secondly we give dawat (invite to good deeds) to our family with genuine love and kindness not in a harsh manner backed up with dua for them and us. We can enter Jannah only through the mercy of Allah. I give full consent to the Shaykh if he needs to rectify me on anything wrong. Duas meh yaad.

Salam aleikum brother, I have also experienced this, as a revert.. before I have made the mistake of dealing with it directly, instead of turning to Allah swt.. iyaaka na'budu wa'iyaaka nasta'een.. may Allah swt make it us for all the believers, aameen.
