I think people use their own phone in which they have their own face lock. So people do some false test in such way that your phone can't do that thing in lock condition. Since that phone is their phone and your face id is already recognized by phone, it automatically open to do that thing

I have a phone with fingerprint sensor at the back I have seen that the phone unlocks with fingerprint even when it is on that part They trick us with that😅
