In India almost many people purchase expensive phones for long term support. So 7 years of updates is good. Not everyone is rich enough to upgrade their phones in 4-5 years. My parents have been using a phone from 2018 till now. This type of software support is good for them.

I've been using my mid-range huawei phone for about 5 years. It has gotten slower but still working pretty well. So 7 years of update is really good. Especially for them who does not change their phones too often.

I think even if someone is not using it for 7 whole years, and wants to resell after 4 to 5 years of usage, it can still be a good deal on a refurbished product, since it is promised to recieve OS upgrades for 2 to 3 more years 😮.

@@PrattipatiSaiTeja The price first btw, I am not bound to buy in India for context. Outrageous, just cuz Google's new management is trying to cut losses. Second, I don't think I'll buy the pro even for 70-80k INR, it just does not justify the cost. Any phone that overheats and throttles does not have long life, and cannot be considered flagship. It'll straight up be a compromise, and anyone above 50k in India, to be a compromise? Really? Also, not a fan of post edit.

I was very excited before the launch of pixel 8 series.. but after the launch what disappointed me the most 1) Insane High pricing & that too for 128Gb variant 2) 7 years of OS updates is good but not practical 3) they should have provided the extended warranty on phone for 2-3 years instead of 7 years os updates.. 2

7 Years OS update is bad idea. All brands should give minimum 2 years OS update and maximum 4 years of OS update. Thats what I think.

I am using one plus 7 I have by one plus on the launch I am only facing heating issue on high gaming . But all other things are fine . But the update cycle stoped few months aggo
