No top of the line processor, No LTPO, No HDR playback, Sub 5000Mah Battery are all fine..... if they didn't call this an Ultra phone. It kind of cements Motorola as a budget brand whos ultra phone is lower-end than vanilla phones from Oneplus for example. They should have named this the Edge 50 pro and named the Edge 50 Pro as just "Edge 50".

Bro see the track record of Motorola They implemented some of the flagship features in the midrange or lower midrange To make that they had to do comprises which did not disappoint most of the reviews, uses So for especially Motorola. I think they have some issues so they cut down the ltpo display 5000 mah battery But see in those places they gave some useful features like 3.1 gen type c port and ip 68 which OnePlus does not give

Yeah I agree Also and this annoys me is the Indian price, again Moto gives there a much lower price. Because in my country (gotta love EU) the Edge 50 Ultra is now 909 euro (starting price was 950) S24 Ultra is just 90 euro above that, because Samsung always drops their prices a lot here while Moto does 50 to 100 euro at most.

This is not it! Motorola lost it by bringing the 8s Gen 3 here for over 50k. We can buy the iQOO 12 Pro or OnePlus 12 with the 8 Gen 3 for the same price, and those phones have better cameras. Now, Poco already has this chipset for the F6 under 30k, and the Realme GT 6 has the same chipset priced under 40k. Xiaomi has brought the 8s Gen 3 with a far more advanced camera for under 45k. Why do they want to charge over 50k for the 8s Gen 3 with a far less optimized camera? Software is the only upside; otherwise, it's not worth spending over 50k on a non 8 Gen 3 phone. And the update policy of Motorola is basically shit!

@Sujith-tr5vm, bro, the Xiaomi Civi is more camera-centric and has a better Leica collaboration along with a Light Fusion 800 sensor. Motorola uses the OmniVision OV50H, which is decent but still won't beat Xiaomi's camera due to its better tuned sensor. You can watch any review for confirmation. The iQOO also uses the same sensor as the Moto 50 Ultra, but Vivo's and Xiaomi's camera algorithms have been refined over years, providing better consistency. On the other hand, Moto is just getting started, so it will probably take considerable time for them to catch up with finely tuned algorithms for a price of over 50k, it's not worth spending on a phone with a less advanced camera and chipset compared to the competition. If it were priced below 45k, it would have made more sense.

Yes, both are flagship level, but the 8s Gen 3 is considered to be a mi -range flagship as it lacks a stronger GPU. The 8 Gen 3 is the only premium flagship chipset with better clock speeds and 2x GPU speeds than predecessor

I am writing to inquire about HDR playback functionality on my Motorola G72. I purchased the phone a year ago and recently received the Android 13 update. I understand that the Motorola G72 may be whitelisted for HDR playback on KZfaq in the future. However, I haven't received any updates specifically enabling HDR playback since launch. I like almost everything about it, except the thing that makes it Edge. I hate curved displays by the sides, due to the fact that it's hard to put protection and it's easier for that very reason to damage it. It compromises on structural integrity greatly, and you'll understand it if you've used a curved display because the potential damages on the curved points are reduced significantly on flat displays, and they hold the phone in place. Besides when you're gaming, the curved part is prone to palm intrusions and unwanted touches around the edges.

8 Gen 3 + 4,500 mAh would have been horrible. But, it doesn't mean the current setup is any good. Compact phones have their own appeal and thry come with small battery. This phone is not only large but has a smaller battery in today's market. No one asked them to make their devices slim. Sacrificing utility for looks is not good imo. Besides, the 8S Gen 3 is reasonably power hungry. For its asking price, it's not worth it for the battery alone unless one is a casual user. With offers, the device is recommendable but only to moderate level users.

Can you compare camera & video with Xiomi civi 14 & Realme GT 6. Need to see how Motorola do with Xiomj CiVi 14 & Realme GT 6. All 3 have same cheapset. Cameras are good. Maybe moto have some good hardware. But user might go with Realme GT6 & Xiaomi civi 14. Because no one wants 100mp. Also I think moto doesn't have Moon shot feature . Camera with 100x zoom 😅. Ai feature. I am using Moto edge 50 pro & Video recording is very bad. 4K Video is lagging. Auto focus is struggling. I think same will be with Ultra as well. Xiomi & realme may get edge here. Moto UI missing Few feature - No amoled - you can't change Frame size in portrait mode - No app Clone feature - i don't know but i didn't like 3 tap finger for screenshot. It is not working for me 😅. Earlier i have used 3 finger swipe. Ps : Using moto edge 50 pro.
