If you have the latest version of Traktor Scratch Pro 2, the timecode setup window is in Preferences - Timecode Setup. It's the 5th menu down in the Preferences Window. You can check the inputs in the timecode setup window or in the input routing section of the preferences.

Just starting out using TP2, I have a Pioneer djm 850. Do I still need to use my Audio 10 as noticed in your tutorial? Or just direct connection TP2 via MBP to mixer? For a DVS setup

Yes if your using internal mixing mode, you can plug an 1/8" cable into your computer into any speakers and the sound will come through the speakers as long as you're using the right kind of cable and the speakers are set up correctly.

Hi! I´ve got a question. I´m just starting and practising. I wanna know how do i choose the deck in which i want to operate with the cues. I´m preparing them whether in one or the other but i wanna make the choice (A or B) to play for instance alive. Does that make sense?

If you have a SCRATCH version of Traktor you can use timecode vinyl control. You can use the Hercules for extra MIDI control but make sure you plug the turntables into a SCRATCH CERTIFIED audio interface such as the Traktor Audio 6.

Hi, can both the master outs on an S4 MK1 be used at the same time. for instance I want to have one master out for the system and the other to go to my phone using the Rode SC4 so I can do live broadcasts. Any help would be great.

Hey man, Every knob on the DJM 900 is MIDI assignable. You would make a new mapping in preferences - controller manager. Assign the in and out ports to the DJM 900, then click Add In to go through all the MIDI assignable commands. You would assign the EQ's to the Knobs and the volume faders to the channel faders on the DJM 900. Try it out and play with it, if you have any more questions about this I'm here :)

You need to install the audio drivers for the Traktor S2 to get it to work. You can download the S2 Audio drivers from the Native Instruments website or from the service center located in applications / native instruments / service center.

The single FX and group FX midi commands are combined now in one menu. Click "Add In" then choose "FX Unit". For Single FX the commands are called Knob 1, Knob 2, Knob 3, Dry/Wet, and Button 1,2,3

Yes you can use timecode with the S4. Plug the Turntables into the S4's inputs, set the inputs to phono. Then for the decks you want to control, set the inputs to Inputs of the S4. You will now get tracking from the vinyl.

I do have an old Tractor S2 and I need to now if i do use a clable jack to rca i will be able to use 4 speackers instead of 2 .Cos it has just 2 jack exit and 2 rcs.Also i need to know about if i can use turntable and microphone too cos the option input channel it said not supported.

We all have very diverse musical tastes. I don't like Pop EDM but a lot of students I have are into that sound, and some of our teachers as well.

Dj endo just got the traktor s2 i have the logitech z506 sorround Sound speaker system works well connected tu my laptop but cant hear noting when i connect my pioneer HDj-5000w to the phone jack .. i tried in the audio and ooutput in the settings and can hear from the speakers online or when i move the settings i can only hear from the headsets just wanted to know what i needed like cables o setting so i can hear from both! hopefully you can help or if i need the Native Instruments Traktor Audio 2 so they both work thanks :)

Hey DJ Endo, love the videos, really helped me with getting started with traktor :) I just have one main issue that I could possibly live with, but rather not. I have an issue with the tempo, for example the screen it will say "101bpm" and if I turn the bpm down say -2, it will still say '101' rather than 99. The tempo still changes, sometimes begins to skip a little but nothing bad. Is there a way to make traktor tell me what the bpm is actually on rather than the original bpm? Thanks :)

Thank you for the tutorial, is it very clear. The 'only' problem I am facing is that I need to use two different sound cards: The on board sound card for the audience and my Usb thumb sound card for headphone. But I'm not getting it done, to select 2 sound cards at THE SAME TIME to mix... Do you have any idea what i should do?

Great video, I have checked the box "load next track when flipping record" but for some reason when I flip the record the track does not go to the next track it just remains in the same track. Any idea why this happens?.

First of all, I want to say I love the videos. I wanted to ask you all at DubSpot a question. Would it be possible for you all to make a video for devices such as the DJM T1 or any other Traktor certified devices and go over how to utilize these in light of the frequent updates that have been made to Traktor. There are vids out there that walk you through the firmware updates and tsi mapping files out there, however, there isn't much in showing the functionality and usefulness of such changes.

Good Afternoon @Dubspot. I have the Traktor 3 and when I open the program, I get a screen that says: "Missing Controller TSi". And it won't let me open the SETUP WIZARD option. Do you happen to have any ideas to fix that? I am very desperate and I cannot find the answer. Thank you very much and greetings from Mexico!!! :)

I have a s4 mk3 and traktor pro, i want to set up turntables so that i have control over 4 decks?? Do i need to install an external sound Card as well as the built in one on the s4? I have the traktor soundcard, but haveny used it since switching from a pioneer mixer to the s4

You need to install the drivers for whatever sound card your using (such as the Traktor S2) for it to show up in the Audio Device menu in preferences - audio setup.

Alright Endo-Here's my question. When loading new tracks in a track deck, the volume will be super loud-typically if I'm just leaving the cross fader on the S4 in the middle.(say, if I'm not mixing,but throwing tracks up into channels for laying out markers).I could have the volume sliders way down,yet the volume cranks out. -Mosaic

Hey Mike, Dj Endo, I wanted to go the inexpensive Rane 12 route and not worry about control vinyl and needles so I purchased some Numark v7 control decks. Will these work with NI Tractor Scratch Pro software? I am using a NI Kontrol z2 mixer. On Serato there is a "INTERNAL MODE" when not using control vinyl...is there a control setting in the TRAKTOR CONTROL PREFERENCES that will allow these decks to operate with the software and mixer? Hello Mike, I have a question, I have a DN-HC4500 with the latest Traktor Pro software but my problem is that when I try to Cue a song say on the first beat and then I hit the Cue button it does not Cue - It moves back a little. - Can you help me with this?

I just got my Traktor S2 MK2, I downloaded all the updates, plugged into the output 1 & 2 with an RCA adapter that converts to regular speaker, all the lights are orange and I can't use the "main level" knob to change the volume and have to use the button on the back and it has to be on booth. The alert sign is on and I don't know how to fix this or what to really fix

dj endo I have a numark 4 trak and 2 pioneers PLX 1000'S DECKS with control vinyl mk2 red. I was told by NI I can use my numark 4 trak as a interface to get traktor 3 to interact with the decks so far no haps any suggestions?

hey i having a problem in my s4 mk1 when i connect it with traktor pro 2 my pitch gets reset when i drag another song. but when i use the software which i got in s4 it works propely. do you have any solution for it

+Mark Dillon I found the problem I had my mixer set to digital input instead of analog. Since I am using vinyl decks. The mixer I got from a friend who uses cd decks so that was my issue.

hi endo im buying a djm 900 and have traktor pro 2 and going to plug in the 900 to traktor threw usb. I just want to use the djm 900 as a normal mixer in traktor for faders and hi lo mids and use my kontrol x1 for controlling: play cue sync loop and efx. is this possible. IF not how would i set up the djm 900 just to control the mixer in traktor and my kontrol x1 for everything else in traktor. Thnx ! i subscribed. learned so much from your vids. maybe u can show how to do this on a vid. jg

Can someone please do a video walk through from start finish on how to set up an external mixer and turntables to the audio 6 for pc in English and how to set up the software traktor scratch pro 2 so that both turntables are fully functional and working. As well give a brief description on how to get started loading up songs to each turntable and how to navigate through the music library and transferring my iTunes music to the traktor scratch pro 2 software. I have the traktor pro 3 and I bought a used audio 10, I plugged on my laptop but it doesn’t recognize, I downloaded the painel control for audio 10 but at the end of the download says failed...i went to my application on native instrumental and i got to the audio 10driver but when i click it only allowed me to click on the documents and not on the traktor audio control panel...any tips on how i can fixed?...i have the audio 6 but i I bought this one because I didn’t know that audio 6 not allowed me to use the 4 decks, so I bought the 10 but I’m stuck now not knowing what to do...

keep your needles clean and switch the playback mode to relative mode by clicking on the relative mode button (the button with out the tonearm)

You can MIDI map the key knob to any button or knob on any of your MIDI controllers or keyboard.

Hey there, so I'm routing from the Traktor S5, and I successfully configured timecode to my left turntable on deck A. However, I was unable to connect my right turntable to deck B. Based on my research, it seems it is only possible to connect two turntables to an S4 or S8 Traktor controller,.. Has anyone with an S5 successfully configured two turntables with Traktor MK2 timecode, not just one?

I need help! I am getting just static from my music when i play songs. I go to Audio Setup and the only Audio Device it gives me is Realtek High Definition Audio and Sample Rate 192000Hz. I cant change anything. Im using just my laptop connected to my stereo and no controller but still its a nice new laptop. And in Output Routing, my decks can only be set to Laptop Speakers or Microphone, doesnt matter wut I choose...I either get static from the correct settings (i think) or No sound at all???

What soundcard are you using? I would always recommend using a Native Instruments audio interface to get the best compatibility. However Traktor will work with pretty much every audio interface. Some soundcards might not let you change latency.

im using tracktor a6, i was able to make it work. i have a new problem lol i cant make get to recordi a good mix. i watched the part of the video several times, i chose external mix bc of my equipment , but when i pick source a , b ,c, etc if i pick input a records perfect deck a and star playing deck b and crossfade it it would get any signal from the other deck and its the same viceversa when i pick inpout b can get to make both decks to records the sounds

help e please. i have an issue within traktor pro 2 in audio output setings. in monitoring section.. there is no other options that speakers.. before reinstal win i had there headphones option. now there is not.. im using mixtrack pro 2 with proper map. anouther issue that i never had id when i triger cue button on mixtrack ( that one for monitoring) it turn on KEY knob in traktor.. cna you help me out please? im stuck cant practise. :/

please if you can help me id be so grateful because this is driving me crazy I recently purchased Traktor Kontrol Z2 and I cant seem to get it to calibrate with my laptop therefor im having a lot of playback problems and the tracks wont play properly lots of fuzziness and drop outs ect im currently using windows 7 and Serato STR8 150 turntables i hope its not my laptop ive tried everything also sometimes i have to turn on and off 10-20 times for it to work as a stand alone mixer have you ever heard of any problems like that? thank you

I am having a bit of a problem with my favorites list on the top of the tracks list . Need help. Well, it would like refresh or something and some of them go red x on the symbols next to my saved list. Then im locked out of it. And I dont know how to get it back unless I install again. can you plug in a cable from your computer to one of your speakers and the audio will come out of the speakers? or will it just come out of the computer speakers?

@DeeJayEndo The thing is, that I have the latest version 2.1.2 and use the new MK2 TC vinyls, so a downgrade is no option. But thanks for your reply, I will call them if there's no other solution.

OK,. Need help with this. Traktor S2, microphone always worked when engaged. Now nothing comes out even with gain all the way up. I know the mic and cords still work as I tested them on another system. Any advice?

I have a problem with traktor. It doesn't save the In and Outputrouting. It used to save it automatically, but since 5 days ago, it doesn't. I hav no idea what's wrong, but now I have to import a tsi on every start, which is very annoying. Thanks for the help guys!

Im using my laptop with Windows 7, a new Traktor Kontrol S2, im having trouble getting it to work on Traktor Pro 2 v2.6,i dont fully understand the audio configuration part,more specifically output routing, and input routing. I plan on using just my laptop and the S2 with headphones connected so i only hear audio in the headphones. please assist :), i've also got a proper mapping scheme downloaded and setup too

Choose "Built in Output" as your soundcard (in Preferences - Audio Setup), then go to your output routing section and choose whatever output you want to listen to (monitor / master in internal mode or individual decks in external mode) . Set that output to Output L and Output R

does anyone on the ENTIRE WWW, know about switching from timecode to vinyl?. I heard you can switch back and forth using a "THRU" mode on the interface menu but it can be a pain. are there other alternatives?, like being able to use the line/phone toggle on the mixer to do this QUICKLY? pls help

quick question I'm having a ton of problems with tk2 collection giving me errors on every song I want to play saying is corrupted or missing or can't be played, I know my music is all good cause I buy it from promo only so corrupted? don't think so... I'm using tk 2.6.8 and didn't have this problem before with other versions so i'm thinking in going back to maybe 2.6 or something... any tips on this one? got 2 parties this week and can'tdj like this... contacting NI is impossible takes for ever any help would appreciate thanks!

Check that your drivers are up to date for whatever device you're using and also make sure your using cables that aren't broken. If you still have problems call native instruments tech support

hey man, i'm hoping someone can help me out here, i'm trying to set up the output for traktor, i've got a focusrite saffire 6 audio interface, and krk vxt monitors and i'm trying to get sound, i've enabled the focusrite as my output in the settings yet it still says it's not connected for some reason. how should i set it up in the settings to get it to work for my monitors and my headphones connected to my interface? i'm having real trouble here, any advice would help, thanks

Hey ! Can you please tell me if there is solution to fix my problem. MY traktor S4 MK2 has this problem of not able to load tracks using load button right side on deck B. Also sometimes it auto loads the track into deck B. The buttons and cue tack 1 button flickers light and there is no problem whatsoever with the left side .can someone help me .

HELLO PEOPLE.. when i connect my amplifier with the s4 and everything it's on i hit play and the light of the button lights up but it's not playing unless i change it to my laptop speakers... what i have to make in the preferences to make this thing work... please help
