@thebrassavolas just a usb lead from the cdj to the laptop, the CDJ has a built in soundcard so the sound passes throught the mixer in exactly the same way it does with cd's no need for external soundcards

is it the same to set up cdj 1000 but with the cdj 1000 hardware instead ?

as long as you have a 4 channel mixer, and you have the pro version of traktor then yes this can be done for 4 decks

hey ric, how do i setup traktor so that when i change my volume faders, hi low mid etc on my pioneer djm 350, it also changes it on traktor software? thanks

@WJReviews i guess you mean when using traktor? well i have never even tried so aint got a clue, i have used the playlist button before but only when playing direct from USB and it works fine, but later i will try this out on traktor and see if i can work out the problem,

my question is how did you connect ... the cdj-s to the pc and to the mixer.. my guess is that you used a TA6? or just the usb cable from cdj to pc is needed? how does that works with an external mixer?

@giwrgosomo it will not give you the song names on the CDJ because native instuments have not made traktor support the HID on the 350, it only runs midi, so until native instruments change this there is nothing you can do

I use a Mac.. and I follow your setup to the T... but I just have one problem... why does the scratch-ing doesn't work?... the jog only work for wiggle-ing the pitch!... not for SCRATCH-ing!!.. what should I do??... please reply thank you...

I have a DJM-350 mixer & a Traktor Audio 2.What are the steps to connect my mixer with traktor 2 program.?I connected everything right,incl. the soundcard & everything ,but I can't use my mixer with traktor.Help please.

I will try to play with my CDJ400 tomorrow and connect the USB printer cables from the Pioneer CDJ400 to the 2 Computer USB ports. I will then start Traktor. I will get back to you when i am I am going to try the next step. I would assume that i need to plug in my DJ Mixer output to the Line-In / microphone (where my ipod nano 4 was) ?

Got a wierd problem. I get everything to work. BUt the play/pause button does nothing. I can only listen to tracks when I press the cue button. What am I doing wrong?

the lights on the cdj have nothing to do with the vinyl mode on traktor, and if you switch it on on one deck it activates on both so by turning it on, using both decks you are affectively turning it off again, so try pressing the vinyl mode on just one cdj and see if that works, if it doesn't work it could be use are not using traktor scratch

thanks great video but im having one problem if anyone can help....... bith decks play fine but the vinyl or turn table wheel doesnt work as it should, its turning up and down the pitch instead of moving forward and back the track.....

I followed every step you took, but I had a few problems. One of the decks played fine and everything, but the other was unnable to do nothing, i tried to change the usb ports and cables but it is not that.. The other 2 little problems were that I dont have that options on the output routing, i just had "1: hd audio output 1 ; 2:hd audio output 2 ..."" and in audio divice(audio set up) i just have asio4all v2, pioneer cdj asio and another pioneer asio 350 "something", please help me!!

HI, i have upgraded to a Dual core CPU so i hope to try this properly now. I have bought printer USB cables. I have installed Windows XP 32 bit from fresh. Only Sound Blaster X-Fi drivers installed and Firefox and Flash 11 (not 13 ). I have installed the Pioneer software drivers. I am using 4/4.1 sound in my control panel in windows. I have pluged my Altec Lansing speakers to X-Fi output so i hear windows sounds and your you tube video for example. I have tried to plug my ipod as a test to my Line-In / Microphone , i am not sure what it is ..actually ... anyways, i hear the sound from the ipod nano 4 and I can hear it is playing to my output with my windows sounds. I hope this makes sense so far.

the DJM is not a midi mixer it can not be used with traktor
