Death Row as we know it was implemented in 1933 the first King Kong movie made by RKO studios came out the same year so yes King Kong is as old as Death Row

I love that in the verse for the 20,000 fathoms had so much packed in. 01. The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms helped inspire Godzilla. 02. Godzilla has fought with the Avengers in Marvel Comics (Hence the Thor and Iron Man Line) 03. Although small "I'll still destroy ya" is a good word play reference to Destoroyah, one of his past opponents. All-in-all Godzilla had a lot more biting and lore-rich bits. Although the Tree bit from Kong's later verses was a great reference to his original outing against Godzilla when he did shove a tree down their throat.

I think most of Kong's lines go over people's heads just because people are more familiar with Godzilla and he used recent memes in his lines. Kong had so many good lines and wordplay but y'all didn't catch em lol 😢

Alright so as a big Kaiju fan, ima try my best to dissect some lines that some newer people might not be familiar with or catch. Goji 1 “From the depths of the sea it’s the king of the monsters” - reference to Snoop Dogg’s lines off Doggystyle album “I’ll chew you up dawg, this Kong’s getting conquered” - Reference to the Kong doggie toys “I roll with Rodan, Mothra, & the homies, for a social primate you sure seem lonely” - Godzilla has cliques, Kong is lonely for a Gorilla. “Your only friend is a damsel in distress” - Kong has only ever had connections with 1 woman in every film, which are mostly not mutual. Which is followed by the “Simpanzee” line. “When I’m crushing on a girl it means the foot she comes under” - Double on that he actually crushes ppl whereas Kong has crushes, and that Godzilla actually…. “You’re pathetic with the humans, enduring their abuse” - Kong lets himself get bullied, Godzilla just kills everyone. “…getting chained up and roofied on some goofy berry juice” - in the original KKvG in 1962, in order to bring Kong back to the mainland, he was drugged by drinking the red berry juice that the island locals gave him to rest after fights. “You get spoon fed hot lead like here comes the airplane” - Got shot up by planes “How did dropping off the Empire feel, you’re like Jussie Smollett, ‘cept this beat down is real” - Jussie staged having been attacked during a “hate crime”, thus being booted from the show Empire; Kong also fell off the Empire State after being spoon fed hot lead. 🔥 “I’ll make an ass out of you like Nintendo did.” - Nintendo made Donkey Kong; Universal also tried suing Nintendo over it but then lost the case and had to pay Nintendo. Kong 1: “The only game I play is Rampage Lizzie” - Rebuttal for Nintendo, Lizzie is the giant alligator from the Rampage game “No way your ass brain is hanging with these monkey bars” - Godzilla actually 2 brains, one in the head, one in the waist; also a double with hanging with playground monkey bars, and an actual monkeys bars. “You came off the bench for Frankenstein the first time we made a movie” - Frankenstein was indeed supposed to face Kong but due to licensing issues, Toho brought in Godzilla. “Then I dunked on you like Barkley at the base of Mt. Fuji” - Charles Barkley dunked on Godzilla during a ‘90’s Dr Pepper commercial; Kong also won their first meeting in 1962 “Don’t you quote Snoop to me I’m as old as Death Row, repping RKO, & we don’t love them ToHo’s” - Rebuttal to the Snoop line. RKO was Kongs original production company, which also released King Kong in 1933, as old as Death Row. Toho was Godzilla’s production company, also a play on Gin & Juice’s “we don’t love them hoes” line. “If you think you’re mind can’t compete with mine, here’s your sign” - Kong uses sign language, saying he’s smarter “You weren’t even the baddest monster from the Sea G, what’s Kraken” - Double on the term CGI, and the Kraken which was in the Clash of the Titans “Bing Bong, fuck your life” - Shoutout Nemz 😂 Goji 2 “You must be from Hollow Earth, all your threats are empty” - Kongs from Hallow Earth, hallow means empty, kong ain’t shit “Dont tempt me Monkey, that was was some shit you just threw” - Play in monkeys throwing their own shit “Worst Kaiju comeback since Pacific Rim 2” - As a kaiju fan, PR2 was ASS. Also saying Kong wasn’t punching as hard. “You couldn’t measure up to the Shin of Godzilla” - Kong had to be sized up to fight Godzilla again in 2021, reference to ‘Shin Godzilla’ from 2016 You’re such a joke Jack Black’s in your remake” - Peter Jackson’s did indeed have Jack in a main role; jack usually plays in comedy’s and jokes, thus Kong is a joke. Kong 2: “Titan your fish lips around Tenacious Deez, you ain’t a rap Godzilla…” - Godzilla is a Titan; tighten your lips. Also a reference to Rap God by Eminem. “In Japan you were a metaphor for nuclear war, in Hollywood they left your balls in the cutting room floor” - Godzilla is a metaphor for nuclear destruction, heavily shown in the original ‘54 film. Sony’s 1998 attempt by Roland Emmerich butchered the concept. For a ‘Godzilla’ movie, it was bad. “What kind of bumpy chump gets punked by Ferris Beuller” Both movies came out the same year, but Ferris outsold Godzilla. “I’m an oxygen destroyer, and now you’re O-2” - The oxygen destroyer was a weapon made to kill the original Godzilla by splitting atoms, also a play on the symbol of oxygen which is O^2. Goji 3: “Oh you shouldn’t try to talk about the atom with the beast The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms couldn’t fathom” - Godzilla was literally made with the Atom Bomb, also states he’s bigger than the Beast from 20,000 fathoms. Sick world play. “You can come at me with Iron Man & Thor I’ll still destroy ya” - Godzilla fought the Avengers in 1979 and kicked their ass. Also a play on Godzilla’s most powerful foe, Destroyah. “I’m bigger than Bridges and I’m swinging in triplets like Ghidorah” - Bigger than Jeff Bridges who was in Kong’s 70’s remake. Also rhymes in triplets like Ghidorah, the Golden 3-Headed Dragon who’s Godzilla’s arch nemesis. “My voice cuts deep like I’m rubbing on a double bass” - His original roar was made with a leather glove being rubbed on a bass with resin. “I spit the verse to turn Skull Island into Pompeii” - Godzilla’s breath at times has been an actual Nuke ie. GMK & Godzilla Minus One, equal of not worse than Mt Vesuvius’ eruption. “It’s the saddest death of a gorilla since Harambe” - RIP Harambe, gorilla killed in 2016 trying to protect a kid. “Damn I despise you, you make weak Tokusatsu, soft like some tofu, that’s a Kaiju Haiku” - Tokusatsu is the film making style that all the original Godzilla films were made with using suits & miniature sets. Godzilla says Kong’s films look like ass. A haiku is also a Japanese poem consisting of a 5-7-5 syllable count. Indeed a Kaiju haiku. (Won the battle for me personally) “Fuck you & the Ballons you rode in on” - in both Godzilla/Kong movies, long was transported using giant balloons. Kong 3: “Anyways, that was more disappointing than your anime” - The Godzilla anime trilogy from 2017-19 was an interesting concept but was executed poorly. The new Singular Point show was cool though! “Like ‘98 it’s just another egg you laid” - Remember how I said he got butchered, they made this mf lay EGGS, it was a total Jurassic Rip off. “You ugly Mothra Fucker, still don’t know how you got pregnant, you’re whole suits a big rubber” - play on the word motherfucker & Godzilla’s mixed connection with Mothra. ‘98 Godzilla is also the ONLY incarnation to ever get pregnant because it produces asexually. Also up to 2004, Godzilla was always made with Rubber suits, also a play on rubber like a condom. “I ain’t here on no Monsterverse” - play on the Legendary Monsterverse which currently makes the new Hollywood movies, also he’s not here to just fight. “The only Honda vehicle that don’t retain no worth” - Godzilla’s original ‘54 director was named Ishiro Honda; also says Godzilla is worthless “There’ll be no victory dance, your G-Fans will leave upset, cuz if you drop kick at me I’ll shove a tree down your neck. - Godzilla did a victory dance in 1966’s Invasions of Astro Monster & a flying drop kick in 1973’s Godzilla vs Megalon. Kong also shoved a tree in Godzilla’s mouth in their original fight. “Like All Monsters Attack, your raps are recycled crap” - due to budget issues, All Monsters Attack had ti use a lot of stock footage from previous films. It’s also the worst movie in the entire series. “This alpha gorilla won’t be bringing no Silver Back…” - play on he’s not getting 2nd, and a Silverback gorilla. “Cuz just like Bryan Cranston, you’ve been dead since the first act” - Bryan was heavily advertised when the 2014 Godzilla released, only for fans to be disappointed when he died about an hour into the movie. Personally, I think Kong had lots of more material to use, but he spent a good chunk of the battle hyping himself up. Godzilla had the nastier punches. 2-1 to Godzilla 🦖

And not only did he fight them, he WON. In the world of comic crossovers, Godzilla has beaten the Avengers, he has beaten the Power Rangers, and now he is currently kicking the Justice League's asses!
