Trans Catalina Trail: Rain or Shine

I had the chance to solo hike the entire 38.5 mile (62 km) Trans Catalina Trail in the Spring of 2024. It was a beautiful experience filled with snakes, bison, wildflowers and ocean views. Truly a challenge that should not be overlooked, I battled rain, fog, sun and everything in between while climbing up and over the roller-coaster of expansive green hills that make up the Santa Catalina Island.

New Subscriber here, love hiking although I'm not doing enough these days I guess I can live vicariously through other like you , glad the trails got opened on day 2 , humidity would kill me especially on a up hill , and I'd be huffing and puffing a lot more than you LOL. Awesome views Gotta hate those blisters like at 11:01

hope you had band aids , rattle snakes would not be comforting to me I don't like snakes luckily we don't have any in Newfoundland LOL. That bison burger and fries looked great

at 18:00 the frog ? were noisy The Fog at 20:45 and after made me think you were in Newfoundland at 21:00 it really got sticky in the mud , yep easiest way to stop the rain is to dress for it LOL.
