Nice work man I thought I was the only one doing this stuff by myself.I have a 261 in my K20 not that familiar with this transfer case just got the truck a few weeks ago.Any info from the Square Body world would be appreciated.Thanks for your channel.

They're super strong from what I have heard, 263 is good just electric shifted and I'd rather have the manual 261 like you have. Like the old school feel more and bet you'l love yours!

I like the truck im am looking for the same truck between 86 to a 89 chevy crew cab 4 door 4x4 to crewes around or to go mudding in after i build to make it scarger

I would probably run atf bc if seal goes it may mix oil into transmission. Time for body work

Fluid could only travel into the t case and its not going to kill it so not a worry to me, I'd drain and swap the seal. Rather no froth or foam with the extra capacity

There's a local guy to me rebuilding them and selling new units, I didn't want to spend the money but couldn't pass up the deal!

I want the 263xhd transfer case out of my 03 duramax? What’s the cheapest transfer to swap it out with in your opinion?

261 changes with 263 and vice versa. Can do 205s and stuff to with adapter

@@AverageJoeBuilds yes I know the 261 is the same it’s just manual I’m taking about a whole different transfer because I don’t like the 263xhd

How did you do your transmission shifter? I am currently doing a 8.1/allison swap on my 84 c30.

Precision fabrication plus makes a kit that let's the allison hook to the stock shifter on the column. It's in one of the first dmax swap videos I did

I have a 2004 ZR2 Blazer it as a NP1 that is a NP263 well this swap worked for me as well?

It might, I know the xhd is what the Duramax uses but if you just use the normal 263 and swap it for a 261 I don't see why it won't work
