Transfer Files To and From EVE-NG Topologies with the Thinclient

Can you transfer a file INTO an EVE-NG node? What about transfer a file FROM an EVE-NG node? That's what the Thinclient does, so here is a video on how to use it!

Downloading the files did not work for me. I tried Chrome and Firefox. I logged in and out as recommended. I used HTML Console to login. The files get moved to the GUACFS Download folder, but nothing happens. If I refresh the Download folder, the files actually vanish. In the reverse direction, the files do transfer to the GUACFS folder, but they lose their contents. In other words the files are there, but they lose the typed messages inside them when opened in the text editor. Any ideas on troubleshooting?

why did you omit the part when you opened the docker ? it just appeared, if under your possibilities, can you show the full step by step way to transfer ?

What if the pro license expires? When you buy a new license, do one need to have to install EVE-Pro from scratch and then transfer all one’s labs?

What about a step further and putting that file on a Windows server inside EVE?

it is my question too. i upload a file dor thin client and then?? how can i send that file for windows machine in eve? Thanks

Finally found a way around it 1. Connect this Gui Docker to another node - let us say a windows server 2. Make sure you turn off the firewall in the windows server plus share a folder with read/write access to it. Let us call this folder 'shared' in C: drive 3. Now go back to the Gui Docker and configure the ethernet interface with the IP address in the same subnet as that of Windows server. For this you will need to go to Applications -> system toold -> MATE terminal. Enter the following command - ifconfig eth0 4. verify reachability by pinging windows server 5. Go to Places -> Connect to server -> Windows Share (under type). Key in the windows server IP address. Under Share: put the shared folder name ('shared' as created in step 2). Put the username and password (make sure you use the format systemname\user in username) voila the drive will be mounted. drag the file to it.
