Sometimes as people we do small, unnecessary things that seem insignificant at the time but they can set off a chain of events that eventually lead very serious consequences. It's unfortunate what happened to uMhlongo but naye he contributed to his own demise. Having your girlfriend hike to come see you is a big risk, especially long distance. Going to see your other girlfriend while waiting for your other girlfriend (who is hiking from out of town) is irresponsible. Leaving your cell phone in the car while expecting a phone call from someone who is coming from out of town is careless and irresponsible. Leaving your car unlocked is careless, phoning your girlfriend from your other girlfriend's phone is also careless. The lesson here is that small acts of carelessness can have serious consequences.
