*remembers Wheeljack's fate in the movie* ....... *sobs uncontrollably*

Grimlock:" Optimus, your ceiling is talking to me!"

I can't help but tear up at Wheeljack's part...

This part of the game is a sombering experience because it's just whoever you chose to play as who gets to talk with Teletraan Alpha mid-game, adding to the vibe that there's something that's really personal to these characters that's going on here. For instance, Wheeljack. "Darkness comes to us all." You contributed a lot to the cause. You didn't just destroy, you built. And you think yourself to be young and still having a brighter future ahead of you. And of all people, you are the one getting the short end of the stick. The ambient..."darkness" surrounding the Proudstar gives you the impression that while you still have quite a while to live in, you are still aware that some..."time" is running out. What about Sideswipe? "There will be chaos, but if you face it with courage, you will live." There's this impression that Sideswipe is gonna be a redemption story. "You're doomed, but you can still change that." This room is like Purgatory for him. This part of the chapter plays out as if "Hey Sideswipe, here's the light at the end of the tunnel. It might lead to another war but while you're still far away from it and in this tunnel, ya gotta keep believing it'll lead to peace and greener pastures." What about Grimlock? "I just can't see your future, my dude." Either Teletraan Alpha legit can't, or is just pretending. Dude's kicked Unicron's gluteals. Made a 5-man combiner team. Found an unlikely friend (Wheelie). What about Bumblebee? "You'll be a living legend, dawg. Congratulations." That room, it's not made dark to scare him. It's made dark to make him shine. That was an early testament to his own quote of "the least likely can be the most dangerous." What about Optimus Prime? To me, Optimus Prime is just the saddest, because what Teletraan Alpha has told him about isn't just his future, but rather also about the burden he was born to bear and didn't exactly get a say on. It's like he's getting tired of the war, but is still going on, pushing on, because he himself knew how heavy his burden is, and doesn't want anyone to bear the same kind of burden in fighting the Decepticons. Leading the troops, keeping them believing in freedom and peace, and being kind to other races, even as the war forces them to do the opposite. "You will lead the Autobots so they will face the darkest hour, but you won't live to see the end of it." His response is like a sincere sigh of relief. "Finally, my friends are in safer hands even when I'm gone." It's like Optimus Prime is a ghost that keeps on haunting, a ghost that finally gets near to getting inner peace.

prime and wheeljacks fates are the sadest. i could see prime being ok with his fate though cause he trusts his friends to go on without him.

I always found it strange that Wheeljack, of all bots, would take the forecasts of the ultimate supercomputer as “hocus pocus prophecies”.

Man, how does Peter Cullen do this?... "That is all I could ever ask..." hits me in the feels every time! 😔😥

Wheeljack makes sense because, while he did did…his creation aka the Dinobots helped save the galaxy multiple times

Grimlock in the future will become intelligent for a brief time and will create a new Autobot team the Technobots: Scattershot, Nosecone, Strafe, Afterburner & Lighspeed who can combine into Computron

I wonder how much of this we would have seen if Devastation ever got a sequel. These prophecies are chilling in a way that’s also comforting, which is interesting in a high action game like this with minimal dialogue outside of the main story. Grimlock’s is especially interesting because Teletraan-Alpha has enough data on him to know who he is, but either due to a lack of information on his character or the implied “other” (created on Earth, Shockwave’s tampering, and other possibilities).

Optimus Prime: If i have to sacrifice myself in order to end the war and save my friends, that's suits me just fine!

If only Wheeljack did not die...and honestly? I would have preferred Sunstreaker as a playable character over Sideswipe

But in Japanese continuity, Wheeljack doesn't die / comes back, so all will be well. And Teletraan is wrong here since Optimus also comes back. In the US continuity, he survives. In the Japanese, he dies. The computer implies he just dies.
