Studio Series: *Still missing a bunch of beloved characters who need updated figures* Hasbro: "Did you say N.E.S.T Bumblebee?"

This guy disserves to have a leader class or being a big voyager class. This guy was taller than Megatron and a giant to Optimus without Jetfire's parts.

No matter HOW bad the jet mode looks, I’ll still love it.

That is a nice design! Studio Series should rerelease it with metallic black and dark gray, maybe even some bronze details!

I love how Hasbro incorporated the bits on his under-arms to connect to the bits protruding from the sides of his torso only for the figure to get bricked. Not sure why they didn't just make them extended pieces of rubber plastic.

Megatronus and Optimus's fight was a little bit short in ROTF.

The fallen deserves his face to be removed. He was hiding his real face and being evil which never fits for those having the name of a prime and almost ending the world and us humans too. Also nice review PvP!

Fun fact: "The Fallen" is a nickname given to Megatronus Prime who had betrayed the other primes by murdering Solus Prime and becoming the first Decepticon. Not much else is known about him besides the fact that Megatron named himself after Megatronus during his time as a gladiator.

I’m a little upset you didn’t mention the staff gimmick In the movie prime took The Fallens staff, bent it, and uses it to rip his face off. I assume that’s why the staff has a joint in the middle and is made of flexible plastic, to allow for more bending when ripping his face off. If it was hard plastic it would stress and eventually break

Always wanted this one when I was younger. Honestly they could just rerelease this mold for studio series and I think it would fit.

Great review PrimeVsPrime!!!! I have the black and orange/volcanic versions of The Fallen, and it remains one of my favorite Transformers from the RoTF line. :D My regret at not getting this blue version was due to the fact that it comes with the staff. LOL Keep on being amazing.

Honestly, I've always seen this version of him as a movie version of Cryotek, that blue dragon Megatron repaint from beast machines

Fun fact: There were some earth modes designed for the Fallen. One of them was a jet. However he did not assume an earth mode probably due to his short appearance in ROTF.

the hunt for Decepticons Fallen is a repaint / retool with the retooling being of course the removal of the intrusive gimmick.

Man, this thing transformers like a Legends class

The fallen after he went to eat many all sparks (deleted scene from ROTF when he defeated prime alternative ending)

I have the legends class of this figure and I admit that I like it. I also liked that the small legends figure transformed as well. In the film I do think that when he takes the Matrix from Optimus and he seemingly teleports to the pyramid, when he pops out close to the apex of the pyramid, one can see that he indeed had transformed. He looks tiny because of the distance, but the motion seen as he reappears looks like he is transforming to his robot mode.

I had (and still have) the original voyager class The Fallen from the RoTF line in 2009, with the head fixed in place (for that dumb energy panel gimmick) and the greenish color palate. He's a neat figure, but his arms come apart easily and the nose cone for his jet mode lost all of its friction years ago, so now it just dangles like a weird tail in robot mode. Ever since I first saw this version in one of the old product advertisement booklets (remember those things?), I immediately loved it. It came with his staff, which the original figure didn't have for some reason, it had a neck joint, and some of my favorite colors to boot? I wanted it so badly, but I never ended up getting it. I mean sure, I would occasionally think about it from time to time, but as I got older, it never really crossed my mind. Seeing your review of the figure, however, reminded me why I wanted it so much. I was surprised to find out that there were STILL things I hadn't yet learned about the figure, although I might just have forgotten about them (it has been a while), and you had my full attention throughout as a result. Despite being one of the weirdest-looking Transformers figures out there to date (even by Bayformer standards), there's no doubt that this figure has aged INCREDIBLY well for what it is. I agree with you on the spring-loaded feet, though. Friction-based toe joints would work way better. I also agree about the vehicle mode, as well. I know a lot of people joke about Cybertronian alternate modes not looking like anything in particular, but they're alien vehicles, that's kind of the point. To quote Thew Adams; "this is just fast-travel mode". And The Fallen never transformed on screen anyway, so he technically didn't NEED an alternate mode in the first place. I'm still glad he has one, though, even if it is kinda bullshit (but that stuff doesn't matter to me, really). I would honestly be surprised if the Studio Series line doesn't give us a new, updated figure of The Fallen (voyager to leader class, at least; he's a BIG BOY), and if they do, just give him a screen-accurate sculpt and color palate, updated articulation and features, one of those redundant backdrop pieces, maybe his staff and the Matrix of Leadership as accessories, strip out the lame gimmicks and just make a good figure of the character, and bingo, you've got yourself an alien Egyptian xenomorph god coming to blow up your sun! Hell, he doesn't even need to transform, but hey, if RoTF Soundwave never transformed on screen and he still gets a robot mode, why not offer the same treatment for a Prime? And if not, that's fine too. If you have the original Fallen figure or the Hunt for the Decepticons version, have at it. He still looks great with the new guys. And hey, if you have both of them, you could just say that the blue version is either a new character, or a Shattered Glass version of The Fallen!

I have both the ROTF & HFTD versions of The Fallen, & I definitely agree with PrimeVsPrime, the later version reissued with the proper colors would make for an awesome SS Fallen.

Remember getting him during the original release during the movie. I remember being disappointed by his alt mode but still spent a lot of time with him. Grew on me a lot.

Despite the color difference, it is the most accurate. I do think it's a shame that they dropped the translucency in some of the parts. It was a cool look on the first version.
