The beast wars stuff is the only stuff that's really excited me since the whole WFC stuff started. I'm for SURE getting this rattrap, and probably rhinox, primal, dinobot, black arachnia and megatron. The fossilizers seem like a cool idea but I dunno if the partsforming will be too annoying to me or not. Thanks for the review! I love the small size too. I can't wait to see more "core" class figures!

One one hand, I am thrilled that Beast Wars fans are getting some love. On the other, I'm glad my wallet is getting a break as these days I'm pretty much just interested in buying G1 designs, as much as I do like the Beast Wars characters.

My preferred method for storing the blaster is to simply peg it into one of his hands and rotate it so it lays horizontally. It's more out of the way there than sticking out of his hip.

Lmao, way to time it with that recent announcement. While I do plan to get Rattrap, Cheetor and Cyclonus, I feel I can afford to wait to get those down the line. Now dat BW Megatron though...if I had the option for Day 1 purchases, I’d definitely get him asap. At the very least BW Megatron would be the one I’d get that first because Primus almighty, BW Megatron from the official reveal looks MAGNIFICENT, yeeeeesssssssss....😍

Rattrap was one of my favorite characters in Beast Wars. So I can't wait to pick this guy up. I unfortunately had to sell my generations one.

Great review, definitely a well done figure given it's size. But I completely disagree with is this figure being the 'best' representation of Rattrap we've ever had. The Generations deluxe class figure wasn't SUUUUUPER amazing, but it did have some pretty cool engineering in it's own right. And to top it off, that figure's accessories weren't only more spot on than what the figure has in this review, but the deluxe class also had his signature bomb he could deploy from his arm like in the 3D animation, which he can store in his arm no less.

Until the Make a Masterpiece figure of him, i think this is probably the best Rat Trap we've ever got.

(when PVP compared Movie/ROTF Arcee to WFC Kingdom Rattrap, I had to say that quote); I think Kingdom is only gonna have the season 1 cast of Beast Wars thrown to the mix w/ G1 (I really hoped for charcaters like BW Silverbolt, Quickstrike, Depth Charge & BW Rampage that were introduced in the second & third seasons of BW to come into this line, bc they need updated figures as well); the list rumored Optimus Primal, BW Megatron, BW Scorponok, Cheetor, Airazor, Tigatron, Blackarachnia, Dinobot, Rhinox, Waspinator, Galvatron, Cyclonus, Warpath, G1 Inferno, Tracks & 2 minibots, Huffer & Pipes & I think those are possibly gonna be among the best figures to come out of Kingdom (Prime, Magnus, Arcee & Wheeljack probably won't be the figures everyone will be after since those are likely repacked versions of their Siege/Earthrise counterparts)

Since Soundwave's Cassettes were an atypical example of a Micromaster (sort of), I wouldn't object to them sneaking in some more Micromasters somewhere along the line inside the core class, the main reason being I'd like a couple of members of the Monster Truck Patrol (in particular Mudslinger) so that can perhaps eventually be repainted as Greasepit. As I like the Base to have it's Micromaster and we'd need a Mudslinger first, for there to be a chance of that happening. The other reason to try to throw out as many as possible of partial teams now - is that then they can revisit the same teams in a later Generation line and make the other half of each team after the old ones are "gone". It is a shame they didn't use a mix-and-match combination system on the Micromaster Combiners though as that sort of knackered half the play value. Some did suggest that a Micromaster Transport or Micromaster Combiner Transport could in theory make a disassembly "weaponizer like" figure too. Which might work if there was something like Huffer or pipes made at the same time that could haul it around. I don't think having something turn into a gas tanker trailer is any less silly than a transforming gas station is. I suppose they could always make some more Micromasters as a giftset - but as hasbro tends to be a bit cheap i'd be pretty shocked if they had any giftset with substantially new moulds in it - as they tend to be repaints and remoulds. Though if they had their head screwed on they'd realise if they completed the Micromaster teams they could reissue them all in sets of 4 and make loads more money off them that way too. I do kinda like the idea of giving the Micromaster bases robot modes in general if only as it is the closest we often get to getting something approximating a new character.

Would be nice to get a pack rat vs fractyl 2 pack. Maybe pack rat and B’Boom as an Optimus remold with different head piece.

Has everyone forgot about the 2014 rattrap generations deluxe figure? It makes this look like a happy meal toy.

Hopefully this is a good sign that we’ll be getting these figures soon!

The feel of this figure is very aesthetically pleasing its a great figure i prefer medium and small figures that are more complex over large figures that are basic or clunky

That hand kibble I get mode is accurate to real life rats. If you didn't know, rats got some huge balls, and that's where they are.

Just got this guy today. Super glad I went with core class. Its scaled so much better. The other one is a rat, that is bigger than cars, and yeah.. lol

they did a good job considering they had to make them acurate to the war for cybertron autobots and decepticons

If they had a core class during Earthrise , they should have put Cliffjumper in that class

Some would say the fist in rat mode are kible, people who know male rat anatomy will say hasbro know what theyre doing.

Can't wait for these new figures, also I really hope they get the original beast wars voice cast back for the netflix Kingdom series when it comes around.

I had a dream about finding rattrap

He looks amazing, however I love the look of my generations Rattrap better. I know size wise he doesn't scale, however it's a better lookong figure. I was hoping for a comparison shot with the generations figure.

Definitely a nice figure but my dude the deluxe rattrap from 5 years ago was for sure better. Still picking this guy up.
