The lack of the shoulder ports just DESTROYED my hype for this figure. That is unacceptable. C’mon Hasbro! Also yet another EXCLUSIVE figure paired with a $30 figure that I could care less about! MAKE THIS A WIDE RELEASE!!!

In the Transformers Universe guidebook, it is said that it had a rear mounted weapon. Even though the artwork shows that as a shouldered weapon. Maybe the designers took what is written as design specs.

Yeah. That messed up logo on the front is a bummer. The rear fin seams a bit too short for me. And yeah missing shoulder port. That killed this figure in my opinion. Plus I already have the Grimlock. Sorry Amazon. You’re not going to get my money.

Now I really want a Mirage in my Collection and for my Transformers Synergy series.

Great review, very informative! I don’t like false chests, I prefer moral Transformations. Still, he an improvement on Siege, although I don’t like the big fat spoiler section. My favorite Mirage is Combiner Wars, even though he’s missing the front wing chest.

Why would they put the 26 and “orc” on the fake chest but not on the real front of the car? I’m going to need toyhax to fix that for me

I just like to ask, how on this earth did you manage to get your hands on mirage? I know for a fact that the two pack for this guy doesn't come out until late November on the amazon website.

Great video :). This time price seems little more fair (unlike $52.99 for two deluxes), but still too high, so, yeah, I'm stil biased against these sets. Especially that this Mirage feels like mix of pros and cons. I like how fake car front is hidden in vehicle mode. It look nice too, especially without that "clear plastic of doom". However... These 5mm ports... I guess it was like: "Are we ready? Didn't we forgot something? Nope? Are you sure? Then roll out (first batch leaves factory) Awww shhh...!!!". Ok, seriously, I have other nitpicks ;). I think the rear spoiler is too small, it should be much wider in vehicle mode. And the head, what a wasted opportunity to equip this mould with that holo Mirage head which is slightly better... I'll pass on this one with less regret than in case of Sideswipe.

I bought this. The shoulder port missing really stinks. I will buy the 3rd party fix when it comes. I never had Mirage as a kid. Was the new style formula one vehicle not boxy enough to have a more G1 transformation? It looks good. You are the first reviewer I’ve seen use the port on the arm. It works enough I suppose.

Yeah it's a cool figure but I'm perfectly pleased with my siege one with the toyhax labels. The lack of the hole for the shoulder cannon ugh!

I see the lower half (crotch down) appears on a mushroom peg. If I were to swap the legs from Kingdom to Siege (to give the Siege one the non clear plastic legs) would the transformation still work or would they be incompatible?

I'm apparently in the minority, but I can do without the shoulder cannon. The bizarre-looking car mode of the Siege version and the translucent plastic were dealbreakers for me. The Earth-mode Mirage looks like a proper car, and there appears to be better weapons storage in the alt-mode. If I really want a shoulder cannon, I probably could stick it on with some putty.

I don’t like updated transformations of Mirage, I’d prefer a more G1 look where the legs are the back of the car (not the arms) and no faux chest. I have Siege Mirage, it’s a better looking robot than Classics Mirage, but yeah.

The miss-aligned Autobot insignia on the front of the car sets my ocd alarm bells to clanging. I hope they aren't all that way!

I’m sure somebody like Nonnef productions will be able to make some sort of 5 mm port so he can have the shoulder cannon.

The lack of the shoulder ports isn't a big deal for me because I can probably just improvise. For example what if I attach one of cliffjumper's weapons to the port behind Mirage's shoulder and then attach his missile cannon on top of that gun? I think it could work.

i was debating on getting this but now that i know that it has no shoulder port, i will definitely pass. ill be happy to keep the Siege version.

Still debating this... that Sideswipe looks cool, but I have the seige one and he's great, so I don't know if I should get him. But for Mirage here, I don't have the seige version, so I'm a little conflicted. I don't know if I should get the seige or this. I think I prefer this one, but I just wish he's was a regular release and they'd stop dickin us around with all these ridiculous exclusives! 😒

The front of the car is more narrower than the kingdom as it should be, I preordered mine and I cancelled it twice already because of mirage lacking the shoulder cannon and sideswipe missing the spoiler I think the side sideswipe is more accurate I just like the colors.

It’s weird that it doesn’t have the should port because in the cartoon he always had it on his shoulder. Also I think that the combiner Wars mirage is a pretty good version of him.

You’re not the only one with a misalignment of the symbol I’ve seen. After finding him from siege for 23 dollars and finding out he’s got the shoulder port, I easily went that way. The new one does look good but for me, not to much of a difference to make me wanna get the 2 pack just for him and without his shoulder port. He may not be for me BUT I’m happy you like him and the review was awesome as always 👍

What ruins the figure alot is not the lack of shoulder port it's the fact that they used blue plastic just to paint it white it looks terrible

for me this is pass ,just like the siege version was a pass .Just due to both using way to much fake part, from the f1 nosecone to the side of the car not being the shoulder flap of it .I think i'll just stay with my scratch built mirage instead, with way more g1 alt mode in my opinion

It's nice that he doesn't have translucent legs and I like the alt mode better. But without a shoulder port, I'm out.

It's missing the shoulder cannon port and its just not that different from the siege version. Saving myself some money and skipping this set.

Siege is better car mode imo. EDIT: and Hasbro could've easily made Kingdom Mirage's shoulder cannon L shaped so it still comes over his should though ported to his back. Im not sure why they skimped there.

They nailed the colours and figure here (aside from the lack of shoulder ports...wtf?) but that car mode still looks like dogshit. Better luck next time hasbro.

Just use a Bumblebee/Cliffjumper Cannon piece to Mount the weapon. There’s a 5mm peg on the back. Be creative
