Another excellent review, baltmatrix! :D It's really impressive just how much better Tigatron is compared to Cheetor who, while looked cool in both modes, his robot legs were absurdly loose, and had fragile plastic pieces, whereas Tigatron has much tighter joints, and the plastic feels more sturdy too. Like with Cheetor, I just wish that his Gut Gun was stored a bit better, the original toy did a better job of storing the Gut Gun.

i really like how there are subtle difference between Cheetor and Tigertron in terms of transforming yet, Tigertron is a larger version of Cheetor which is what i like about him. Pity there is not proper storage for the Gut gun, which is really weird compared to Optimus Primal's swords.

meanwhile in Japan he is also (unintentionally) considered the first gay Transformer due to for some reason in the Japanese dub of Beast Wars they changed Airazor's gender to male.

I think his shoulders appear further back than they should be. Its a minor complaint, as it does look good.

I got this and the mutant version for Christmas, really happy with how solid they are. Tigatron was one of favourites as a kid never got the toy as I was born in 99 (Hasbro got my back with the reissue though 👍).

Just grabbed one sitting at my Walmart today. Last one too. Everything else was gone except for a few Airazors, Blackarachnias, and Fossilizers. I think I got lucky

hmm, Tigatron was a protoform born on Earth, while Cheetor was from Cybertron and in principal at least somewhat matured...yet Tigatron comes off as older and more experienced? How does that work? Is the spark from and existing cybertronian and they just put it in a pod with a protoform to work as a new body for it? Or is there some process that reverts adult cybertronians into protoforms as a form of stasis to save energy on long distance space travel? I know the idea of these protoforms was a way to introduce new characters so they could become toys, but I don't remember an in universe explanation for them...

The Botcon comics had Tigatron as a cop and having his spark put into a Protoform. I've never read any of the Botcon/3H stuff so I don't know the whole story.

I believe the stasis on long space travels is the official explanation. I think the implication was that Tigatron was older and more experienced, but his memory was damaged, so he doesn't remember his life on Cybertron.

@@DaPopeANata for Tigatron specifically his identity circuits were damaged in the crash, making him "more tiger than maximal" or something like that, but then what about everyone else? If they were people back on Cybertron then why can you make them a predacon by swapping out a single chip in the stasis pod? The only characters that actually had a CHOICE in their allegiance at were the fuzors, since downloading 2 beasts overwrote their identity circuits entirely meaning they could actually choose whether they wanted to be maximal or predacon, but then Blackarachnia and Dinobot started out as predacons and decided to join the maximals, Blackarachnia didn't even change her command codes until she literally had to to avoid death.

@@wakeangel2001 I always assumed it was the same as the device that turned Rinox into a Predacon in Dark Designs. A program that overwrites their original personality into a Predacon one, just a different delivery system. They are essentially brainwashed.

Cheetor does have heel spurs, but they're fused to the feet whilst Tigatron's actually fold into the feet. The off-white is accurate to a white tiger, but it's also apparently a nod to the original BW toy's penchant for yellowing so bad that it looks like Cheetor. That gut gun? I agree that it could use some paint. For instance, the pipes in the middle section could use some of that shiny goodness from a Molotow Liquid Chrome pen. But after watching a review on the Masterpiece Tigatron...all that white is actually accurate, and it just needs a few tiger stripes on the bottom. 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️

5:14 your tiger mode is extremely cross-eyed though. I wish Hasbro would fix that issue or stop giving figures pupils when their machines can't apply them correctly a large percentage of times. I'd wish more reviewers would point out this flaw as well.
