Ironhide should not have died in the movie.... T_T

The best part from this is how his rear wheels became the "joint" of his legs, unlike how you must tuck wheels under his feet or somewhere around the legs. SS Ironhide got the molded plastic tires on the legs, yet the real ones are under his feet. I was hoping an Ironhide toy could get the wheel engineering for legs and this is it. 👌👌💗💗💰💰💪💪

waited for quite a while to have the money to order this guy, finally got him in, boxed him back up and initiated the return the very same day i'm now much more content with my purchase of studio series ironhide than i was before

This toy is INSANE! It's so organic and realistic in both modes. It really is amazing this thing exists, they created something never existed in the real world, it was just CGI, and these guys turned it into physical reality, that's more than art, that's engineering magic. Now something like this is, of course, going to be inoperable, and no good for any kind of manipulation.

The intro music is so appropriate for the hype of this review

you're supposed to fully snap the chest piece into place. Theres a peg in the center of the chest that clicks everything nice and snug.

If I remember correctly EmGo had the same issues with the vehicle mode so I think it’s a common issue

I know it's been almost 3 years from this video, but I just want to say two things: 1. I always enjoy your videos because you have something unique compared to other reviewers: you are the only one that transforms the toy figures both ways, and that's something that is worth appreciating. 2. I discovered a slightly less frustrating way of transforming him back from robot mode to vehicle mode, concerning the front part of the vehicle. If you tab the panels on one side of the vehicle, starting from the front to the back, than hold them pressed with one hand, it makes it easier to align the panels on the other side of the vehicle with the other hand. I went through a lot of frustrations, so I know what you felt in the video. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for doing the reverse. I know when i do my reviews, I always start how its packed. This guy it difficult to get everything in truck mode to fit. I like the GMS logo on grill, which flips over on each side. You are one of my inspirations, thanks!!

I painted the knuckles on mine brass. And also filed down the lower edge in the wrist tab ports with a small toothpick file so his gun panels fit in snug now :)

This is the only figure in my collection I bought an upgrade kit for. It comes with a piece that attaches across the back shoulders that stabilizes him very well. I also comes with some nice extra weapons. This is how I also felt trying to get the MPM from the Bumblebee movie tabbed together. Soo frustrating.

I really enjoys your reviews, but I've got to say you made that way harder than it needed to be. I agree that he is fiddly, but once you line up everything, it comes together nicely. Knowing how everything fits together is key. There is also the order of the steps you take to transform him. For example, try lining up the front of the hood before working on the arms (sides of the truck). Anyway, love the reviews and please keep them coming.

in movie, ironhide does have his shoulder set behind the wheel like in mpm n replica, his frontal car at the chest is actually articulated, n he only moved it a bit in the film

Honestly best most accurate review on this figure. But yes keep it in one mode and the robot mode is the best in my opinion just for display

After looking for work trucks my grandpa has decided that we are gonna buy one of these. They're not actually that expensive surprisingly. There's only 2 things on this truck that are custom.

Oof. I wondered when Hasbro/Takara were gonna hit a limit with one of these. Hopefully they have a social media scouter to watch some of these reviews and take in some feedback so the next ones aren't quite so finnicky. I know Jazz and Megatron are next, and they SEEM a little more straightforward. I would be worried about Ratchet, Starscream, or Brawl ending up like this (if they make them).

Getting this guy for 50 bucks. Telling you guys, these KOs are insane. With the quality control issues w/ hasbro and Takara, it’s hard to tell the difference. Can’t want for Jazz and the already rumored Ratchet.

This guy is what decided for me to stick to Studio Series for the movie cast. Well this and how bad the fitment was on MPM Prime. I feel for the toy designers and Bay's impossible characters, but I'm happy to trade a little bit of screen accuracy for a LOT of aggravation. SS Ironhide is awesome (and yes he DOES stand totally flat and stable if you push his feet wheels all the way in through their tabs) and his arm guns are integrated WAAYYY better, like MP didn't even make an effort... Maybe Legendary Toys will improve this like they have everything else.

The transformation may be finicky but it’s not a total “nightmare”.

Why does every Reviewer miss the fact that his shoulder tires act as locks for the entire shoulder assembly?

the panels on the arms ARE designed to tab in the arm the part where you said that there is what appears to be an slot for that tab, the thing is....quality control wasn't that good on this figure release, same with the shoulders, there is a section that should tab in...but it doesnt

So I painted clear color Varnish spray on his shoulder joint he becomes much better sigh... but I can say he is most better Ironhide toy

This is the most honest, and accurate video I’ve seen of the frustration of putting this POS back into truck mode. I busted one of the tabs on the windshield in mine after a long time of trying. Hasbro should reimburse those of us that spent more than $20 on this toy.

Yeah, transformation is problematic at best, infuriating at worst! I understand your frustration, Paul. Don't worry about it. It's certainly one of the most difficult movie Ironhide to transform. It's not easy to transfer a CGI character into toy form, because the CGI cheats and makes parts disappear. For other robots, I have the same problem with ROTF Optimus Prime and ROTF Jetfire, they're are frustrating to transform, that's why they stay in their robot modes on my display! Nice review despite your difficulty!
