Adam Luther Keep in mind how expensive the 3rd party combiners are. A 3rd party combiner next to a mainline combiner isn't going to stack up well. Those are two entirely different price ranges and the looks of the figures will reflect that. It's like comparing an Olympic swimmer to a school swim team. Potp dinobots are a great option for those who can't afford the masterpeice and 3rd party dinobots, combiners and normal bots alike. You got options, and options, are good. But, I will admit grimlock's robot mode isn't great. I personally love the combined mode, but these dinobots are definetly have their ups and downs. Better than "the beast" though. *shudders*

Yeah, I get the price difference is a huge factor, but its hard to know where to dray a line between 3rd party pricing, and Hasbro/Takara's lazy greed. On one hand, you can buy a voyager and get something incredible like Generations Springer, or TLK Nitro Zeus, etc. But on the other, you can spend the same price (or likely more, as of late) and get this Grimlock that is a bit of a mess, not unlike his wave-mate Starscream. The deluxes were pretty great in this wave, and the legends were fantastic, even the leader's had some really neat features and engineering, but this voyager wave nearly ruins it all. As Has-Tak prices continue to grow, and 3rd parties continue a trend of decreasing with competition popping up every month, I fear Has-Tak won't be able to draw any level of collectors beyond what parents buy as throwaways for their young children.

Adam Luther the only reason prices are increasing is because parents are throwing iPhones and iPads in there kids faces instead of letting them use there imagination with toys. When I was growing up that is how I played and I am really excited for these figure. And like others have said price is a big factor.

Again.. I just corrected Balt that Hasbro has been using quite good idea in order to give new Dinobots that G1 glossy gold look. I can agree with you that by now GPS is gone extinct.

Jarmo Verriet/RagsTheGoat T here may be a fan mode floating around by jamming peices together and wrapping limbs aroud each other to make that resembled a robot. Either way the dinobots aren't picture perfect, but I think they do a good job giving us some updated g1 dinobots. And having them combine is just an added bonus if you think about it. If anyone wants to, they can judt display them bots in robot mode and never even acknowledge the combined mode's existance. I personally think they look cool, if not a bit flawed.

Joseph Lytle that would be pretty cool. Maybe a set for the whole team, a sword and gun for each. And have the weapons combine to make a big sword and gun for the combined mode.

Ben Hendrix they’re from their respective toy lines. Grimlock and the other dinobots shown in the video are from the current power of the primes toy line. He used various other deluxe tfs from the combiner wars toy line as an example of how volcanious would look. He mentioned titans return because of the Titan master that comes from that respective toy line; hence the extra Rodimus head(it can transform into a titan master).

Actually I've found you don't have to transform the legs at all. Just rotate them to face the same direction as the crotch plate. There's enough space between the Grimlock' s feet and the Dinobot heads that you can make it work. You have to put Volcanicus in an A stance, but that's fine since the combiner feet have ankle tilts.
