11-12-23 Fun fact, this figure was given the Code Name "Project Waffles". It's like how Gigawatt was "Project Future" and Ectotron was "Project Mullet".

In my opinion, I feel they could have put a deception in the packaging and maybe it could have transformed into a demogorgon

I kinda wish the engineering for this could’ve been used on an alternative deluxe Earthrise van mold. Just leave the windows attached to the arm and there. This is like deluxe engineering at a voyager size

Imagine if there was a Transformers figure that transformed into the Pizza Planet truck (Pixar)

This mold looks way better than the Ironhide mold does. Didn't think I needed another Ironhide, but this would change my mind

This looks like an extremely heavy retool of the disappointing Earthrise Ironhide / Ratchet mold. Look at that back and how it works; it's basically an integrated version of the riot shield. It's really impressive how much new molding there is in this figure. I wouldn't have thought all of that was necessary, but due to the way ER Ironhide transforms I guess it was since Ironhide's shoulders stick out from his vehicle mode (his feet are more of an easy fix as a few 3Ps have shown). Maybe it's a case where they started off thinking it wouldn't be too much work (almost a reshell) and wound up designing almost an entirely new figure by the time they were done. TBH, I like it more when the robot modes aren't based on any one character. Gigawatt and Ectotron, the two gold standards, look like a TF just came down and plopped themselves into those stories. A new TF character that fit into those mythos. As opposed to the older Star Wars crossovers where they tried to make specific characters into TFs and I don't think it worked out so well. So I'm happy enough they he has a light homage to the headgear Elle wears as opposed to having the face of a given character. Anyway I have this guy on preorder. Really excited for him.

This could definitely be remolded into an ironhide

You're straight-up crazy if you don't recognize this as an homage to Dennis Henderson and the radio headset he was always wearing through the show. Stranger Things is a really great show, I fully recommend you watch it.

Story/character bio-wise, I think we could spin that this is a pop culture savvy (terran) Autobot who is so mesmerized by Stranger Things as a show, that he modelled his alt mode and weapon shapes after the van and props in the show.

Honestly, I've been thinking of picking this toy up despite never watching the show due to just enjoying the look of the alt mode, and while the robot mode is a bit generic, the accessories increase the play value to an extent where I'm still considering picking this guy up.

I picked this up yesterday..and as far as the head goes... its got at least 3 easter eggs in the sculpt.... 1. The headset and micro phone is Justin's when he used it to communicate via radio. 2..the head has then brain wave scanner Eleven had OK during experiments in the lab. 3. It's wearing the safety goggles Joyce had on.. So pretty good really

As others are pointing out this mold is such a vast improvement over the recent ironhide. That lack of an ugly hinge by the front doors really helps it.

I liked how you complained the lack of recognition with the face sculpt eventhought not all of the collab heads are like that? Example whose Giggawatt face suppose to repersent? Doc Brown? Maybe I can see it a little bit in the one scene when he has goggle cos Giggawatt has those goggles like eyes? Same with Echotron but he does look "part of the team" with his goggles being able to rotate into and out of his eyes so there's that. Loved how you didn't see the mic thing that Code Red has, something which Justin wear when communicating with the other via radio/ comm links!

There's quite a few references in this figure sculpt. The helmet has details from the brain analyzer 11 wears, the pads on the hips reference the suit 11 wears in the sensory deprivation tank, and then there's all the obvious stuff.

Now that we know you have Reactivate Optimus Prime, I NEED to see a review for it, cause' that would be awesome!

I don't know why but I thought this was a repaint/retool of the SS Wheeljack as they're very similar vehicles but this is completely different in both look/transformation. Really like how tall he stands, and the weapons are very cool inclusions. Robot reminds me a lot of the generic Autobot design both the Ecto 1, and JP Explore received. That Reactivate Prime looks pretty hype. Great tease.

Can you imaged if they use this for the Mystery Machine?!

This crossover figure is brilliant! While the mold was reused, it executes perfectly. I hope they’ll make BTTF Transformers figures soon…

engineering and transformation on this figure really seems like a simplified ss86 ironhide. similar vehicle shape and results in a slightly similar body too, although with ironhide being much more complex. i think the best character they could have made this resemble is hopper, but thats just my opinion. cool figure. might pick up some day.

It’s interesting to note that some of the details on the forearms and the feet match up with that of the siege/Earthrise van mold. Perhaps the designers stripped those assets from the model and reutilized them?

Code-red looks amazing i love the robot mode and the weapons now I'm thinking of a few more crossovers that could work like Gundam × Transformers

I think it's a great figure,but I think it's one I'd probably keep in the box and display on my shelf instead of posing with the rest of my collection. Purely aesthetics for me.

Look and scale it's a perfect representation of Ironhide's body type. New head and a paint job and it could be the new 86 Ratchet and Ironhide. Always thought 86 Ironhide was too short and stocky, in most offical animation models Optimus and Ironhide were about the same hight.

This is by far my favorite transformers crossover figure to come out. I love Stranger Things and transformers, so this figure is awesome!

Hey, surf's up my brochachos. I never thought that I'd see this. And, if it wasn't for the ham, Hawaiian would be my favourite Pizza. What a brilliant idea, even having Easter Egg images in the "Pizza stains". You can probably tell I'm a fan of both franchises, I definitely want to get my hands on this one. Pity that they couldn't make the head look like Argile. I wonder what a TF crossover Demogorgon (and the different variants, Demodogs, bats...), Mind Flayer and Vecna would look like?

Just got this today with frankentron, SS ROTB cheetor and air razor and the Jada die cast mini figures series 1 and absolute love them all

I believe the characters head is based on Dustin. He wears the head set in the show. He was also one of the warriors that aided Eddie. If you squint, it bares a slight resemblance, lol.

They didn't base ectotron or gigawatt on a character, if the vehicle transformed in the show he would be his own character so it makes perfect sense that he ain't based on anyone from the show.

This transformer is decent but I think that previous crossovers (Back to the future, Jurassic Park) did their “only job” better. I feel like this one is slightly blander than the previous crossovers… but that’s just my opinion.

He’s got the drive through window headset that Argyle wore when working at the Pizza shop. They couldn’t give him Argyle’s long hair, because hair on a transformers has never worked! I think he’s supposed to be Argyle without his long hair. His hair was his biggest trait, but again Transformers don’t do hair. 😅

i was able to pre order it for 35 USD which is pretty on par with most transformers of this size. I do wish they had put a small demogorgon or demo-dog in the packaging just like they do with the dinobots. just to feel like your getting that little bit extra value. however as a big fan of the show I would have bought it even if it was 50-60 USD. This kinda falls in the category of: "I've spent more on less." so i'm happy.

I'll gladly waste my entire wallet on this. I wasn't expecting it when it was revealed, but it's an amazing welcome for me.

The way the wheels end up and the roof/backpack plate especially make me think this is essentially the S86 Core class Ratchet/Arnhaad mold scsled up to Voyager size. He's kinda nifty, but never having seen more than a video that replaced some pivotal scene where a girl is inspred by music to break free from not-Voldemort with the music replaced by ( "Give up this game, Max. You have spent too long a stranger to them, running from them... deserting them!" (wheeze, choke) (clackity-click) ("NOW!") *We're no strangers to love... you know the game, and so do I...*) I'm not willing to pay the crossover/VW license premium over a normal voyager.

Just got it today, its weird but in a good way. Its definitely not worth the price but the transformation is enjoyable. hopefully they do another figure from this series because I'm curious what they could make.
