Join me as I spruce up the shoddy interior of my Lancia Fulvia project car and fit our newly refurbished dashboard, with some quite stunning results.

I'm one of the people that went with the glossy finish but i have no regrets, haha. I have a Fulvia 3 which had an uglier plastic-like wood veneer that reminds me of a cheap 1970s house. I also went with the series 1/2 style dash plate with teh Fulvia script becasue it's so much more beautiful

Aha, that's fair enough - I do think the glossy finish can look stunning, I just wanted to keep things near to original with mine.

"Real veneer" seems a bit of an oxymoron. :p I guess I'm a gloss finish fan, love the steering wheel. And those seats look absolutely excellent, super comfy. Gonna have to try your aluminum foil trick some day too, I must remember that.

Gloss does look nice but I'd like to stay as close to original as I can. Seats are as comfy as they look!

Excellent video! your fulvia is very rear as it's a 1.3 rallye and not a 1.3 s

Cheers Bob! Car is now stripped and I'll be taking it for bodywork soon. After that I'll be looking for a specialist to give it a once over before hitting the road.

You are doing a fantastic job!! I am restoring my fulvia too, but things are moving a bit slow. BTW I really love the colour and finishing of the wooden dashboard, is it restored or brand new? could you send me the contacts of who worked on it?

Do not re-chrome the badge just yet! Try to take a coin, penny or some soft metal and rub the hard dirt of. It looks the same as with my Fulvia and almost could get all the dirt of the Fulvia badge! Nice that you try to keep it original as possible

Thanks for the tip - however the badge is actually quite heavily pitted which didn't come up on camera. I'm going to show it to a metal finisher, might end up getting a new one to be honest!

@@AshrafonCars Do whatever you want it is your car but give it a try. I thought also that I "must" buy a new one. But I can show you before and after pictures and almost all of the white rock solid dirt is gone. Sure some deep pitting is still there but it looks amazing after rubbing with the coin. What I learnt from the Fulvia and maybe Lancia, (before FIAT took over) that is when you dismantle something, clean ,grease it and put it back together than it works again like its almost new.
