Because almost all design leaders tart with individual contributions, the transition (if wanted) to management can be daunting. In this video, I'll share some strategies and thoughts on developing your UX manager and team lead skills whilst still in IC role.

hey there, do you think you can make a video on the state of the job market for design right now? i've been out of work and i feel like every interview i go to im competing with so many people :/

@@jaja1279it’s basically a numbers game now in the US. I’ve been looking since Mar, hundreds of applications only handful of interviews. 5+ yrs of experience. Super competitive for fully remote, while bootcamps are still pumping out new grads further saturating the market. Supply>>>demand by a lot right now. Probably wise to pivot asap

Books primarily (check my videos for ux leadership books), observing and emulating effective managers within business and also learning from my own and my bosses' mistakes, also getting mentorship and advice from a lot of people throughout the journey.
