His way of teaching called grammar translatlion method which is applicable to non English medium students.it is also one of method called in direct method of teaching English .it is not wrong method.

Not all can be alike or same. Being heterogeneous is the nature of Nature. Tamil and English are two different and independent languages and naturally, THE WORD ORDER OF TAMIL EXISTS DIFFERENT AND THE WORD ORDER OF ENGLISH EXISTS DIFFERENT. This is the reason why the translation of an English text from right to left (generally and not always) is found more fruitful when it comes to Tamil. Hats off to you! You have spontaneously gone deeper into their roots. Your perseverance and pursuance must be admired. All the best!

I have understood one thing from you, you have good deep understanding about English, and when you teach English to your student kindly explain about my doubt, because this is most important one and most of them didn't have about this knowledge and confuse of their selves too. 'Tense' itself is a study of combination of different verbs - which includes be verbs also - to give expression to various actions performed, on the basis of their time and nature. Hence, this sort of approach may be avoided - as a be verb itself can be used in different tenses.
