I bought a 04 Honda Passport 4x4 and the transmission was so bad it would nudge forward but it wouldn't really move. I drained some fluid and added a bottle of Lucas Transmission fix and the car drove very well all over Texas with no further problems for years to come. It still worked great 6 years later when I sold it.

I used some blue devil pro universal leak repair on my 03 Silverado 2500HD steering gear box that was pouring the fluid out of it, 8 months ago, it stopped and it's still dry! In 2005 my 92 K1500 5speed developed a leak in the input shaft seal. I added maybe 1/2 pint of this same stuff. Leak stopped. I still own the truck. Still no leak

You used the wrong one lol. This is for transmissions that are shifting hard. Yes the very bottom it says it stops leaks but you need to get the one that’s Made specifically to STOP LEAKS. Not fix slip as this one states 😂 blue devil ATF stop leak would have been the move on this one. 👍

I use Blue Devil for a bad head gasket on a 02 Honda Accord and it's still working till this day

Used Bars Leaks in small radiator leaks and it worked. Wouldn't use it for a water pump leak unless it was an emergency to get somewhere to have the water pump replaced. But yeah most additives are snake oil.

Bar's stop leak is best stuff on the market.

BG cooling system sealer is magic. A girl i work with had a blown head gasket and it cut the usage by 70%. Her car didn't vape anymore. She sold it later. But man did it slow the usage down

I guess a lot depends on the motive of the person using these additives. IF this guy is just gonna sell the car for scrap, then OK. IF this guy is gonna put this in a car and sell it to somebody so that he can hide the problem, that's a whole different story. I have never "played dumb" or hid a problem when I sold a car. I have always believed that Karma would come back to haunt me. It seems Karma has been quite good to me. If you are putting this in a video that you are posting on KZfaq, then you are one of the most honest people in the business! Karma will treat you well at the auctions!

Subaru requires additive (stop leak) be added to cooling system on my vehicle when changing coolant. Not all dealers do this. Mine didn’t after installing an engine block heater when my car was new. By the time I did my first timing belt, I had gone through 2 gallons of coolant. I used the additive. I’m about to do my second timing belt. I have used much less than a gallon of coolant since I added the stop leak (100k miles). I only mention this because it’s not necessarily a bad thing if you’re doing it at the manufacturer’s recommendation (preventative maintenance?). Of course, it would be better if Subaru could make an engine without head gasket issues in the first place.

I added some lucas oil stablizer in the winter and it was thicker than STP, couldnt hardly get it out of the bottle and it was backing up the fill tube

had a 98 camary steering rack was leaking adding fluid every couple days bought 1 stop leak product do not remember the name did nothing to stop leak bought another product though it was regular power steering fluid but it had stop leak in it do not know the brand 2 years after adding never added anymore and rack worked fine car was totaled in accident

used in 01 dodge dakota 2.5 5 speed manual......still leaks not as much but leaks truck has 190k miles

Well now I want to know if it helped. My Ford tractor FWD transmission seal is leaking [into the clutch section] and I'd prefer not to split the tractor just yet. Pls let us know what you find.

After the leak stops should I drain out the fluid and put new

I use that all the time there is nothing wrong with my tranny it just leaks so I thought it was a front seal I pulled it out I fix the front seal the backseat was good I put it back in and then I put regular transmission in it it went for about a week and then started leaking again I've been looking for the leak can't find the leak but if I ever was going down the road and I lost all four wheels off my truck I would probably scared a long ways because that's how much lubricant it has underneath the so I'm still using it but it did not stop the leak it don't work but like you said it might work on some cars it's just a Band-Aid that's all it is
