Yes sir,that's what I was commenting about on your last video.Most Bobcats are very willing to put their head into holes,tunnels & cubbies. Coyotes are very hesitant to do so unless the particular situation is just right. That's why I said leg holds on the fence cross unders cause then both get caught & coons can be set free.

Actually on second viewing without distractions & getting to see your cat in different positions which I missed first time. Nope,hes a 30lb cat like sydney,not the 40 that i thought when first seen laying there. Infact,Sydney is well fed,plumper all the way around & maybe heavier,but same size.

Hi J, I have been subscribed to your channel for a while. I was just curious about the bucket set in Nebraska. Do you think it would have worked quicker, for bobcats, than the 1.5 weeks it took if you had put a hanging feather/CD out? I really don't see the reason for Nebraska forbiding the use of feathers and body parts for bait. Well that says a lot about your lures. Thank you for this video.-Paul

Yep,on second viewing, Sydney (my wild pixie bob) is very close to that color of that cat. Just Jaguar styled,black stripes & dashes. Not as spotted,& his belly is way darker. But all in all,he really isnt that much smaller than that cat you have there. Maybe slightly shorter legged,but plumper.

Looked like a nice 40+lb bobcat. They are rutting & breeding January & February. Thanks for filming it,it gives me comparision opportunity to double check my body wieght estimates on visual sightings. Last year at exactly this time in a wmu in wny,that has no open bobcat season due to low numbers,, I had one quite a bit bigger than that standing (seated) next to a black walnut tree in my yard & I put it in around 50 -55lbs in my estimation. Looking at yours I'm going to stay with that estimate. Isnt it amazing how broad through the chest they get once mature & filled out? It makes you quickly realize this is a lynx,& any name less than that suddenly does not seem to suit its broad body size. Thanks for showing again j. Yeah,I was lucky enough to see a real grey chinned monster, I'm certain now!
