I know this is comedy, but it really makes me realize how powerful of a leader MLK was by allowing himself to be a martyr. Not being physically violent and taking the high road had a much more profound effect on changing things and creating understanding. Extending an open hand rather than a closed fist is so much more difficult. It's true, that man was just built different than most of us.

It’s this attitude that is the exact reason why the civil rights movement has taken HUGE strides backwards over the last 10-20 years
@TheAmazingHoho5765 ай бұрын
Exactly. Instead of fighting for proper equality nowadays, people want to fight with racism towards white people. Absolutely idiotic. We are all equals.... Peace be with everyone!
@hueypautonoman4 ай бұрын
That's actually not true. Plenty of people had those attitudes back then. Just go read Dr. King's own writings about how he had trouble convincing black men who were rioting to stop and do nonviolent protest. It was the same back then. The reason the civil rights movement declined so dramatically was because they literally killed off most of our leaders who promoted radical politics. The leaders who didn't get killed, imprisoned or exiled joined mainstream white politics and go around preaching black capitalism now instead of resistance. That's probably why the government was OK with letting them live.
@shid_in_my_pant28494 ай бұрын
True
@karthh19874 ай бұрын
fun fact, the civil rights movement was super unpopular during MLK's life, and even sometime after his death. Looking at political cartoons from the time period, you see that people criticized MLK and his protests in very similar ways to how people today criticize BLM. Despite MLK's commitment to nonviolence, and the vast majority of BLM protests being peaceful, it was and still is popular to see those protestors as violent rioters and madmen. While America has gone through tremendous change in the past 50 years, in a lot of ways nothing has changed at all.

Roman's 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles (Modern day Europeans/Caucasians/ Non 12 tribes) be come in. Part of the blindness is that we would not know who the true Father of Jacob(Israel) was and that we would worship false gods of [wood and stone] referring to worship of the cross(wood) and the “idol” of christianity the “jesus” that hangs on the cross tends to be made of (stone). Deuteronomy 28:36 TMH shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. Deuteronomy 28:64 And TMH shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. Just as important as "what's his name," is "what is not his name." However, it is 100% certain that his name was not Esus Crios aka “Jesus Christ”, the idol of the Celtics who the Catholics sing at Easter in the Vatican, aka what all surface level “Holy Bible” readers (Commonly identifies as “Christians”) refer to the Messiah as. We have been tricked, deceived as a result of the curses of the law (Deut 28-64)...wake up and stop following the lies of the Gentiles. Israel is awakening. I am no historian but I love researching and proving all truth. It was the blasphemous and devilish "Holy" Roman Catholic Church that banned us from reading certain books. Do not trust the Adversary's agents of deceit and destruction. The Catholic Church is not a good moral compass. They literally crusaded all over the world, had TMH’s people murdered, burned women alive, and made laws against poor people (peasants) from having translated Bibles and books of education in the past. Who are they to condemn a book for any of us to read? They are certainly in no position to order us and they are most certainly NOT our Creator nor the Savior. Do not trust those vipers. It has been told of us to be as harmless as doves AND as wise as serpents. For one to be wise, You must research and READ, and educate yourself, AND prove ALL TRUTH. The only one to lead you is The Most High. Pray for insight but don't trust when LIARS tell you NOT to read something but approve of what you “Should”! It is good that we pray for you, and I do hope you pray for me as well. However, the decision is ours as to whether or not we fully submit to his will. The Most High wants us to submit to his will through our own decisions. That is why the Messiah says if any man comes to me, let him deny HIMSELF. That is why the word also says to be transformed by the renewing of OUR minds. That’s why it says every man will have to give an account for what he hath done. It is personal accountability and the sooner we accept this, the closer we will become to actually making the decisions that will make us submit fully to his will

People literally forget that the only reason Malcolm X could talk the shit he could, Was because he had the protection of the Nation of Islam, & they eventually silenced him because he was pushing the limit on which he could remain protected with all his reckless talk.

One preached peace, one preached conquest. Of course the modern generation would seek conquest over peace, because they lack empathy. They lack compassion. They are narcissistic and cruel and see themselves as victims. Our media has butchered our heroes to make them more “inclusive” or made everything into an antihero. There is no hope among them now, just nihilistic morons that believe themselves to be savants.

Peaceful protests are far more effective in the modern era than violent ones, because of both optics and narrative framing. Not to mention the emotional impact. When i played Detroit Become Human, i specifically chose the nonviolent option knowing that its a better approach for hearts and minds, and damn if it didnt get me right in the feels

@yousefbek1422 thats hardly an argument. I laid out a very brief reason as to why nonviolence is the superior approach. If that's your only response, you have no argument. Violent rioting does no good, and plenty of economics textbooks will tell you what happened to good neighborhoods that were hit with race riots in the mid 1900s. Spoiler alert, theyre ghettos now. Because the economic damage has been shown to take as little as a century to recover from. In civilized nations, the peaceful approach works better.
