Жыл бұрынAdjustable Grooving Plane. It is made from scrap wood, repurposed steel from an old saw, left over aluminum stock, screws, and a metal pipe.
Observation: If I were to redo it, I would make the aluminum sole a bit thinner and the throat opening a bit larger (in long cuts, it tends to clog up, but for my intended purpose, it works just fine).

I cringed at using a bradpoint drill as a centerpunch on metal. the plane turned out very nice. in other grooving plane videos,i noticed they cut the chip relief hole and put an angle on the tip of the wedge piece near the cutting edge to turn the chips outward. that should be easy to do on your plane wedge.

This kind of circular saw blade is too soft for making tools.

I would agree with you, but I am just a hobbyist. This tool is not going to see a lot of heavy work, and I don't mind sharpening it between uses.
