@@ChaosSwissroIl It can still be dangerous though, especially if you're out in the cold for a long amount of time with no way to heat up. Plus in some places -5°C feels more like -15°C too especially if there's a lot of humidity in the air (plus windchill, ect that can make the air feel way colder). I've had days where I live where it will say that it's -10 but feels like it's -25.

In all fairness, at least in my part of the US, coyotes (timber wolves) like to check out camp sites and try to scavenge for food. So Garnt's fear of peeing is fairly relatable after one growls at you from less than 4 meters.

A huge part of gun safety is knowing exactly what you're shooting, where it is, and what lies behind it. Being in a timber thicket in the dead of night rules out at least two of those, more often than not all three

@@xKuukkelix lol that’s not how physics works. Wearing cloths, when by oneself, only adds insulation. The only exception to that might be if the cloths were wet. The reason you don’t wear clothes with another person is sharing body heat/reducing the surface area in which the heat can escape the body and not about trapping heat.

Garnt starts by saying Yuri camp(laid back camp) lied then the boys proceed to make the same mistakes they made in the episode meaning they very much did not watch it.

Feel bad for them tbh. Normies are fairweather fans. It's not like the initial episodes were entirely devoted to anime. But now the podcast is mostly not about anime and its just not fun to listen to for anime fans for obvious reasons. I personally know tons of people who stopped listening because they don't talk about anime much anymore and thats not even including all the people who liked my comments in this thread. When the boys personalities stop being interesting for the normie audience they've cultivated they will be struggling for viewers since the anime fans will have long since left for content thats actually devoted to anime. And for the record yes you can have a weekly podcast thats entirely devoted to anime, tons of people do it. It might be a bit forced at times if the currently airing shows are mediocre that season but its still totally doable. Acting like its not possible is obviously false. It's the equivalent of trying to say you couldn't have a weekly podcast about video games or books. I get feeling burned out on a hobby like anime, it happens to me too. But I'm not getting paid to talk about anime, if I was I wouldn't act like I was getting bored of it and stop talking about it especially not when there is a paycheck is on the line. I'd force myself just like everyone else who works a job they don't love....so pretty much everyone.

Thermal undergarments are absolutely needed in Japan for the cold Winters. Provides a barrier between you and air that a lot of times just rushes through jeans and jackets. That's what I did when I was living in Japan.

I remember the first time I took a trip to the Sierras in late fall. I thought I could use my usual backyard camping gear for this. Well, I had an extra sleeping bag above me, an extra sleeping bag below me, a sleeping bag around me, and I was wearing all my clothing, and it was goddamn freezing. But the eeriest part was that it was so silent I could hear the blood pumping through my carotid artery or some shit.

When I was in Boy Scouts, camping during the winter, we would ring the fire with rocks. When we went to bed we would take some of the rocks with us to keep us warm during the night. The rocks retain and slowly release heat during the night.

I've been to the Himalayas multiple times for treks. On one of these treks the day time temperature was -2. So at night it would dip down to -17 to -22. It was so hard to pee at night. It was hard to take it out of all the layers of clothes. That was a great trek.

@@MusiicRoolz When you sleep naked in a bag, your body heat warms the air inside the bag and reduces ‘cold spots’ that you find when you move. Less clothes reduces the sweat held against your body by letting it evaporate. It’s also important to put an insulating layer under your bag and keep your clothes inside the bag to keep them warm. Get dressed inside the bag.

When I see comments like this I always wonder how much the cold affects people. Sure, people withstand extreme temperatures all the time, but there's still human biology fighting temperature. My skin is pretty dry already in near 0C temperatures at high elevation, but how do people in -20C or lower temperatures fair? Are Canadians built different or do they take extra care of their bodies?

@@suiii8777 There's a difference between going outside in -3 degree weather and spending a night in it. While travelling to school you're active so stay warmer and its a short span of time. Try sitting down on a park bench in -2 for three hours and you'll see the difference.

i remember me and my buddy was sleeping in shelter in september and i had this sommer sleeping back and my friend had this super deluxe sleeping bag the whole night i was freezing but he had this good sleeping bag so he didnt getting hurt but i was surely sure that i would die of cold

As someone who actually lived in Siberia one winter, I snorted at them being mentioned by the end. Siberians don't need canned coffee to stay warm, they know how to layer well enough to eat ice cream outside in January, I've seen it done!

Wouldn't drinking the warm coffee be a better option than using it as heatpacks? You heat up inside which helps to deal with the cold, also last longer.
