Wow, what a man, so honest & humble for such a highly skilled sportsman. as a hurling junkie, I remember looking at the 1973 all Ireland matches on video many years later and I recall the great Micheál O'Heír saying 'oh the absolute gall of the man' about Ritchie after he soloed half way down the field and scored a point. High praise indeed! this interview captures the facts that show how superstars are just ordinary guys like the rest of us with everyday problems of health and family worries. Awesome insight! One of your best videos. Thanks for this insight into the highs and lows of such a great and humble man. Please do more of these.

Great interview.. Interviews with past players adds a lot to the channel

Had a drink a chat and got a photo with him in Gills Pub after the Leinster final drawn match Kilkenny v Galway. in 2018. Lovely man. I was at the back of the goal in 1973 when he got the winning point from a 70' v Tipp in Munster final 1973 and of course was at the final when he beat us in All Ireland the same year. Great Hurler but as I said, A lovely man.
