On May 25, 2023, the Illinois ACEs Response Collaborative hosted a virtual event in honor of Illinois’ fifth annual Trauma-Informed Awareness Day to highlight the impact of trauma and the importance of prevention and resilience through trauma-informed, healing-centered approaches.
The Collaborative joined partners, advocates, policymakers, and community members across Illinois to reflect on this year’s theme, Building a Healing-Centered Future: Solutions from the Community.
In her keynote presentation, Lieutenant Governor Juliana Stratton shared why and how she is making trauma-informed and healing-centered policy and systems change in Illinois a priority.
