The chapstick tube is genius!!!! You could even carry that in a purse on a hot day in the summer when you need a "refresh."

a Chapstick tube is great, but a little too small for some things (like traveling for a couple weeks). Buying the larger containers on Amazon is great, but I (like you) don't need a bunch of them. I just need one. I found that a glue stick container works great! There are two different sizes of glue sticks to chose from as well. One is a little larger than a chapstick tube, and the other is about the size of the "travel" size deodorant. Cheap. Easy to pick up at any big box store. And you don't have to buy twenty of them just to use one.

Helpful video, I bought a tiny travel size deodorant stick at Target and when I ran out I just used your method and melted my regular deodorant and poured it into my used travel deodorant container!

you could melt in a measuring cup with a spout which should make it easier to pour into the chapstick tube.

This is a great travel hack! I have very sensitive skin and have to be very careful what products I use. I’ve used Tom’s unscented deodorant for years but haven’t been able to find it in travel size. I’m going to try your trick for our trip to Europe this summer. Thanks for sharing!

I really love this hack! I’ve used it a lot over the years after I saw this video. I found that if I used my glass measuring cup with the spout,it was much easier to aim the liquid in the new container 😊

Love this! Like someone else already said, this is great for those of us who have sensitive skin and can’t easily use any random brand just to have a travel size deodorant.

thanks, this is clever! you can be extra eco-friendly, and make use of your used-up deo sticks. often there's week or more worth of deo left in the stick holder/slide when it's "empty". it is very easy to press out that deo with your fingers. just use up your deo normally, but twist out and keep the unusable part, just throw away the case (or make something from it!). take 2 of these, find your old, dried up glue stick, get the glue remains out (easy) and pour the warmed up deo in the cleaned glue stick. it works well since it holds quite a bit and glue stick is pretty thick. pocketable travel deo, and no unnecessary waste.

Next time melt the deodorant in a small glass jug, then it won’t spill while pouring.😀

Thanks for this video! I do this when need to pack light. On regular road trips I take my normal size deodorant. I feel like an idiot because it never occur to me to reuse a chapstick tube! The possibilities! *insert head explode emoji* Now I won't be throwing them away.
