Hi,
In this video I talk about Singapore MRT map, getting to know different types of Singapore MRT cards and tips on how to use simplyGo app to track the fares spent on Bus and MRT in Singapore. I have also explained how to calculate fares between different end points and use that to decide whether to buy tourist pass or use international credit cards.
I have also explained on currency whether to use cash/card and which is more convenient and what is the percentage of cash/card I had carried for my travel in Singapore.

MAAM I WANT TO GO TO MARINA SOUTH PIER FROM THE AIRPORT SO IS THERE A DIRECT MRT TO GO THERE? As in what is that dotted line on the map

If you observe the legend map, dotted lines are under construction. Direct MRT is not there to marina. You have to go to Tanah mera. Interchange and again interchange at city Hall to go to marina

Hello, am in total appreciation of all the hardwork & effort you put into making these vids for the benefit of others 👍. Kudos Have a single ques myself. It looks like the EZ link card can be used for shopping, dining purposes too besides transportation. So, i guess the max SGD 500 deposit that can be added on the card has multi uses. Great to know❗ The ques here is *Can the topping up of the card with additional SGD be done at 7/11 stores as well❓ *will the balance be refunded when exiting SG even how much ever it may be❓ * Whr can the said refund be picked up❓ thx

@@humbertsoimetro8 Yes. Topping up can be done from 7/11. Not sure of 2nd que. Refund can be picked up from mrt stations.

As I will be traveling with my wife and 2 kids how can I use my debit/credit card at MRT? Do I need to swipe in 4 times separately for each passenger?

Since it's only for day you can buy ticket instead of ezlink card.

Both cards gud. Credit card good for international usage.

Can i pay with cash at all the MRT or bus stations? Will it be more costly comparing to the ezlink card? And what if i only use my niyo global card for all this mrt and bus station transactions? Will it be cheaper comparing with ezlink card's 5$ non refundable deposit?

As regards your first ques alone, my only guess is the cost of actual travel via MRT/ bus may work out to be the same irrespective of whether you pay via cash or use EZ link card. The advantage over using the latter is you avoid the queues to walk in directly to the MRT entrance. Waiting for the answer myself though, straight from the KZfaqr herself.

@@humbertsoimetro8 Thanks for the reply.but i completed my travel. What i observed was 1-Niyo global card didn't work in the mrt/bus. It did work in all the other restaurants and shops. 2-the fare in bus or mrt if paid via ezlink card gets a 10% discount comparing with cash.

Hi Mam awesome informative video.... I have one doubt .. can I use forex cards for MRT and other public transport ? we r travelling couple and we have only 1 forex card .. so can we both access all public transport by swipe 2 times ?

Hi. Thank you. Forex cards can be used for MRT and buses etc. But for transport you can only use 1 card/person. We also went as a couple and we carried two niyo global cards.

That fee is charged for card usage. It's charged once/day irrespective of number of travels on that day.

Might be No. As the entry and exit points gets tracked for each person. Check on the SMRT website for card usages

Yes. You can pay cash. But card is more convenient. Cash you should be carrying exact change.

I did not exchange in bangalore. I had few US dollars. So I got better rate for it in Singapore.

You can go with Orient exchange. Better rates and home delivery is available.

Hi. As far as I know, under 7 years there are children concession cards available. I am not sure of 7 to 10 years. Suggest you to check on the transit link website.
