It was a life style. I got an education running that road. Good people. Good trucks. The days when we watched out for each other. You'd have 10 blokes at one table for tea. Now it's one bloke at 10 tables. Enuff said.

I remember as a kid driving from Melbourne to Sydney with my parents on the Hume in 1953. It was just a goat track then, wooden bridges, gravel shoulders, steep hills.
