Yes to a review on the sleeping masks. I've tried to DIY my own, & I wasn't too successful, but if there are any successful Etsy crafters who make them I'd love to know too.

Yes please!!!!! We have different work schedules and we have to sleep during the day and light bothers me soooo much. Also we will catch 5 long flights on September through the course of 14 days, so good rest is essential! Thanks Sonia!

***** I bought a sleeping mask on etsy and use it every night. I love the ones from this shop because the eye covers are larger and block out all light. www.etsy.com/shop/AllNaturalSleepShop

I can tell you how to sleep! On a train, get a roomette with a bed. On a plane, go first class. If you cant afford those, you're travel tips are spot on!! Nice job

Yes! I agree with those who request an eye mask video, and also a new one on neck pillows. In the last one you made (October 2013), there were several pretty extreme/crazy versions, so I'd love to see a new one with more updated options (Travelrest, Kuhi Comfort, U-shaped ones, etc.). Thanks!

I went to Miami and it was a 9 hour and 30 minute flight. In May this year. It was amazing, I had a bit of sleep but I was slightly near the back so I kept waking up and sleeping. Even though I had a eye-mask. When I go in October, I'm going to try and be more prepared with the sleeping tips! Thanks a lot.

When I was flying overseas I had to hand a couple of assignments for my school. Though out the week I wasn't getting any proper sleep either. I was having later nights to complete the assignments and prepare for my flight. The day of the flight I had 3-4 hours of sleep and had to attend school. My body was probably extremely tired, however, I was so excited about the trip I didn't realise this. Due to my excitement I didn't get enough sleep on the flights as well (The flights were 9 hours and longer). When I arrived at my destination it was night time. I didn't have any difficulties falling asleep. I think what is important as you had mentioned is to keep relaxed. Hopefully for my future travels I will remain calm to prepare my body for the difference between the times and avoid being jet-lagged at all circumstances.

How do you make sure your things are safe & secure while sleeping? Riding on the train I noticed that there was no way to really secure your purse/valuables, I tried to place my purse between me & the window and bunch up my coat to form a pillow of sorts but it wasn't comfortable at all.

Hi Sonia, great video as always:) Yes I agreed, your advice pretty much nailed the "sleeping well during a flight" topic :) As a frequent flyer avoiding caffeine and sugar is a must do! Then of course a neck pillow is highly recommended, me I am using the necksofa pillow which works very well.

Great tips- eye mask and noise canceling headphones are top on my list. Plus avoid the alcohol, esp the free wine on European flights. It may help you sleep at first but will keep you awake later and is bad for jet lag the next day.

I can fall asleep on a plane easily as long as there's nothing to look at out the window (like if it's nighttime - except the one time we were flying over iceland at night and the northern lights were chasing us, we couldn't sleep then), otherwise I'm too interested in the passing scenery. Isa (my wife) can sleep on overnight trains, but I have a hard time ever since this one incident while traveling through Slovakia - "officials" boarded the train and tried to rob our group in the middle of the night.

Can you tell us about safety and sleeping on planes/trains? I would be afraid someone would take my bag on a train, and although a plane feels a little safer because of the flight attendants, it still could happen. I have a red-eye flight to London next week that I'd love to sleep through, but I want to protect my things! Thanks!

This might not be relevant to you anymore but on trains I use a bicycle lock through the handle/strap of my bag and then round a chair leg or something similar. Makes me feel much more at ease should I fall asleep knowing no one can just wander off with my bag

Nice. I need tips on how to stay awake on planes! I travel a lot for work and everyone gets work done on our flights but the sound of the air and the engine just lull me to sleep. I've been known to be out like a light before we even take off, and wake up only when the tires hit the ground on landing. You can imagine, this is NOT ideal when I travel with my kids and I end up like a zombie from the effort of staying awake to take care of them :-) Thanks for all the tips!
