Yes I always wanted to go but had a short visit sandwiched between the ferry arrival time and flight the next day

It's the port, or 'le port' in French. St Pierre is not a big town as you can see in the video.

There are very few places to stay and book fast but lucky you are not in high season. I mention the prices around the 1.30 mark to give you an idea

There are very few places, restaurants need reservations and are booked days ahead in peak season.

If you can go to France you can go to ANY part of France. But only direct flights.

@@paname514 Unless he uses YUL (Montréal-Trudeau International). When arriving from Paris (CDG or ORY), passengers in short stop for Saint-Pierre et Miquelon don't have to "cross" the canadian border. Only show your passeport and your Air Saint-Pierre ticket/bording pass/itineary to the canadian immigration officials checking at the arriving gate. Sauf bien entendu si vous passez par Montréal (YUL Trudeau-International) avec une très courte escale avant de prendre un vol pour Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon. Il suffit de présenter son passeport et son billet d'Air Saint-Pierre à l'officier chargé du contrôle des passeport qui attends les passagers à leur descente de l'avion. Vous devriez être escorté vers la zone des départs internationaux près de la porte d'embarquement de l'avion d'Air Saint-Pierre.
