It was a long, rough workweek. Then I got home, checked my notifications, and took a nice, relaxing trip to Japan with our favorite teacher and his buddy. We visited mountain resorts, checked out food in various prefectures, swung on a huge swing, and watched an incredible sunrise. Life is good again. Thank you, Aki.

Aki! I've watched all your videos 🤗 this is my first comment. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your efforts on your beautiful videos. Your dedication shows in the superior filming and editing. Also, your extremely pleasant character is so comforting to me because many corners of the internet are full of negativity. You really make my day! Thank you very much for making the world a more perfect place 💕

Many thanks and appreciation from Australia for your efforts in allowing us a window into the lovely Japanese countryside. Now that Japan is opening up, I am seriously considering organising a trip for a group of friends to include as many wonderful experiences of Japan as possible. For me, being from the Australian countryside, I much prefer the beautiful Japan rural areas compared to Japanese cities. Therefore your videos give me many ideas of options that my friends and I can enjoy together, especially in the Nagano area. Thank you and please keep up the good work.

You know what I like the most from your videos? How much joy you have every time you try something, and even things you normally drink or eat. That expression of yours when you drink matcha, or any other tea or food and candies. When you close your eyes and breath and just focus on the flavor. But also, when you are in a new town, when you just look at the landscape and breath the air with so much joy. This morning, I was so cold, I made tea. When I tried it, I just did exactly what you do. hahaha and I thought about you. It's funny we don't really realized of those small joyful things. Thank you for your videos and for your personality. It's a joy watching you!! and of course, thank you for showing us the beauty of Japan. I was planning to go this year but it was closed. Now that it's finally open, I'm planning to go next year around October :)

Hi Aki! ☺I love watching your videos and I like it when your videos have different themes, not only minimalism even though it's one major driving force that guided me here. Please also make more videos of ancient Japanese culture (like you did about the Edo period) and villages and also natural parks of Japan as I truly think all this (alongside of minimalism) is very special with its ancient wisdom. I think we have lost our track in this modern, over-hyped and over-consumed society that at least my soul yearns for returning back to our ancient roots. I just finished listening to Tanizaki's In Praise of Shadows and I could so well agree with him on many things. Love from Finland.

Halo Mr. Samurai Matcha, First of all, I would like to tell you that all your videos are so amazing, I watched it one by one 😊. I’m from Indonesia, can I have a request to you for making the video of how the work ethics of Japanese, I had experience worked with Japanese. They are so discipline, hardworker and detail. And the most impression thing is “very on time person”. Thank you sir, I hope you will make my request to be come true 🙏🙏

PS: A few months ago I said you inspired me to learn Japanese. My husband and I are starting in January (since we couldn't do it this year due to kids and work). Wish us luck in learning such a beautiful language!
