BIZARRE Mexico Road Trip with Indigo Traveller | Baja Part 1
After taking a break from Europe Vanlife, we are on the road again but this time in Mexico with Nick from ‪@IndigoTraveller‬. This series we are exploring the Baja Peninsula, making our way from Mexicali to Cabo San Lucas. In this Mexico travel vlog, we visit Mexicos wine region, try the famous seafood and start the long journey across the untouched desert. Here we see ancient cave paintings and have a bizarre full moon experience in the desert.

I did, and I m forever thankful that you lot made me know of this. Since working full time and already taking care on my own of 2 kids, I do not have time to book any therapy for myself in "regular office hours" (or I would have to take unpaid leaves all the time). This however made me match schedules in evenings with a therapist that was on another timezone and perfect for me 👍

Did the same journey on a motorbike forty years ago. The Baja was dirt poor then, it was almost culture shock for me and communication was tricky as barely anybody spoke two words of English. The only tourists on the road were me and the girlfriend and a guy driving a bright yellow VW Trekker. Cabo San Lucas had a bit more going on but even that was small back then. Caught a ferry to the Mexican mainland and visited the major cities. Good to see a bit of economic development on the Baja, it must give the locals some hope.

We love road trips!!! Baja was our favorite road trip so far. So much so we spent 7 weeks there at the beginning of the year and then went back for 3 more with our friends to show them around.

Love road trips. I have 2 favorites: One a trip up highway one in California, all the way up to Washington then down the middle of the states. The other, a loop in the Southwest through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico

My friends named their daughter Catavina. Born 9 months after a stay at that hotel. Ensenada to Catavina was my section of the Baja 1000 race. All dirt the way I went, of course.

That's how I felt seeing my first standing stone. Also anytime you want to see the more northern verity of hiking bird just come to my house. Heads up though they can be aggressive

Great job capturing the local wildlife! I can imagine how amazing it would be to wake up to hummingbirds! And those cacti are stunning! I've never seen cave paintings in person, definitely on the bucket list! Can't wait to see the whales next week!!!! Excited!!! 😃

Well, we once took the M1 to a wonderful place called "the North". We saw the spectacular desert of Luton, spacecrafts and ancient kings in Leicester, we had fantastic Nepalese em... food.. in Loughborough before we met a friend in Derby and finally ended in Nottingham.

Hi Beans. I'm from Melbourne Australia. We travelled over the Nullarbor from South Australia to Western Australia which is also crossing the desert but at times you have views of the Great Australian Bight. There is also the Nullarbor 90 mile straight, 146.6 km straight road!!!! It's a 2 day journey with the odd motel along the way, one way.🙂

We've got a place in Mulege BCS where we spend our winters. I put out three feeders which attract numerous hummingbirds of the Costas and Xantus variety. We've counted up to nine on just one feeder. They consume about 5lbs of sugar a week and provide lots of viewing pleasure.

Best road trip I ever did .. in a VW T4 from Halifax/ Nova Scotia/ Canada (via the Baja California) to Costa Rica, then from Costa Rica to Alaska and finally from Alaska back to Halifax (where I shipped the van to and then from). The most epic road trip I have ever done (15 months)

I have so many great road-trip memories! My favorite has to be Chicago to Tennessee on a motorcycle with my hubby and best friends. Such gorgeous scenery and amazing views everywhere. Cherohala highway is by far some of the prettiest scenery ever.

Road trip - done a few! Favourite one was the most recent, partly because it was one of the most madcap. One week - Cornwall to Perugia and back via Brittany, Loire and Limousin, with the return trip being a 14 hours straight drive, via Mont Blanc tunnel, ending with the Gendarmes stopping us and searching our car as we arrived late to board our ferry.... thereby hangs a tale for a campfire night.... LOL

Best road trip ever: solo drive from Tampa FL to New Orleans. Driving along the coast. The color of the sky, the temperature, the smell of the air, all reminded me of growing up in Southern California. There were times when I didn't see another car passing me in either direction for almost an hour. The most surprising thing were the Christmas tree farms. I drove back into one. There were crossroads ever mile. It was literally many square miles of Christmas trees of varying sizes. What a beautiful day that was. It was topped off by sunset on Fort Walton Beach. The sand is so white it actually mirrors the color of the sunset, orange, pink, purple. Wow!

The only thing apparently missing from this road trip is my 4,000-song playlist of ONLY my favorite 60s Soul/Rock n'roll, 70s Disco/R&B, 80s New Wave/Rock, 90s House/Hip-hop/techno, 2000s indie rock/reggae, 2010s pop/other stuff, and early 2020s more recent tunes...with maybe some new, contemporary, electric jams featuring NO lyrics included in the mix...

Quite a combination, Nick and the Beans. Used to watch Nicks videos at the beginning for his KZfaq journey about 5 years ago. He inspired me to travel by myself to some amazing places. They included, Albania, Poland, Thailand and then a private tour Chernobyl tour with Solo East.. Was interesting to hear him tell me, lived in Forfar, Scotland, my home country about 6 years ago. Excellent combination, you all have such a passion for travel and exploration. Loved your van trips, but this will be epic 😊

OMG You guys travel with one of my YT Legends! And it is so weird to see him in a chill out travel like this, haha omg I loooove this, why cant I make multiple thumbs ups... Also, you guys seemed to have done it all wrong to ask permission to the mexican desert, you have to ask permission with the Cactus of the gods, the allmighty Peyote sheesh 😁 Cave paintings from those days usually depict 2 things: either visions and wishes (wars won, animals killed for food, prosperity) or tallies of what they experienced (this year we had so many calves born, and so of those crops) etc. depends if the place was holy back then or housed. And caves were not so much a "child like feel of going to explore and see" back then, it was just the best natural available shelter both for weather conditions, heat or cold, so as soon as there was one, it was obviously used.And yea, its the me Archaeologist writing

Those large stick looking plants are called a Century Cactus or plant. It blooms every 50 - 100 years. (some more frequent depending on climate) But when they do they are magnificent.

Appreciate choice to share your goals in dealing with depression. All the best. Enjoyed mask/cave…never would have gone to that full moon night walk. Too nervous. One time driving from Alberta, Canada south on “road to the sun” we didn’t meet anyone for hours. Suddenly around a corner we saw 3 or 4 police with dogs stopping someone. Disconcerting for sure! Hope u find your whales. 🇨🇦❤️

Lovely channel. Must admit I was curious about Indigo. I have followed him only the past year or two and some of the places he went to must have been quite trying. Especially when he endured the State and Government pressures on a few of his installments. Anyway, thank you and wish peace to Nick while also encouraging him to take his experiences and continue to his next destination-when he is ready. I LOVE road trips. The best one I ever took was from Fairbanks, Alaska to Central Texas, down the ALCAN highway through Canada, then from Montana down to Texas. We spent 11 days on the road and loved it the whole time.

OK Emma I am right there with you not knowing that Mexico was considered a big wine producer so now I must go to that region and check out their wine! That ritual because of the full moon was really cool. Mind boggling how 10,000 Old carvings in a cave are still something we can see today. I love seeing those things especially when I go to Puerto Rico and see all of those historical drawings that the Taino Indians left behind. I gotta ask however that 12 hour strip of road, did it have somewhere to go to the bathroom? Or was your business being done in the desert? Lol just need to know so I can prepare 🤣🤣

Loved this video. Looks an amazing place. My best road trip was New York City to Niagara Falls then all the way to Key west, Florida in 2 weeks. It was amazing!!

Road trips are the best and our favourite was driving New Zealand north to south. Love the open road and the adventure that is around every corner. No better way to travel. Off to Portugal in a few weeks and of course …a road trip
