Aww Candice! that really touched my heart sweetheart :) My main goal is to always make sure my heart is into everything that I make, show, create, etc! If there is no meaning behind what you are doing then there is no point, thats the #1 priority for me is to always have meaning and my heart into everything that I do and make!

You explain your steps very well and very clearly. I think you'll do well. BTW that tool is a bone folder not filer. Originally they were made of bone and used for folding paper neatly, hence the name bone folder.

Thank you Susan!! I tried my best with explaining it so that it was simple and easy to follow! Also thank you for letting me know, I had a feeling I was saying it incorrectly!! I had no idea they were made out of bone, thats crazy! The one I have is made out of plastic and seems to work fine :)

Many years ago they were made of bone; long before plastic was invented. Paper crafting is hundreds of years old.

Really good video. After making junk journals, I like the idea of bringing some of the colorful papers into my A4 TN. Thanks for sharing.

Just made one by watching your tutorial--turned out great! I adjusted the measurements for my B6 Slim and I did add that 1/2 inch border to all edges (top of folder and top of pockets in addition to the sides) for extra reinforcement. I also used a 1/4" hole punch halfway in along folded seam, so that part of the folder sits just inside my TN elastics-- figured it would help alleviate potential tearing along the fold edge. Thanks so much for the tutorial, it is very clear to follow and easy to adapt!

No worries for the typos sweetheart :) Once you have your certain method down - you will become obsessed with creating different folders for your travelers notebook, its such an easy and simple way to really personalize and add more character to our notebooks! These folders are so cute! I'm going to try it out. Also I LOVE the garbage bowl concept. It's so great for cooking. One of the best tips I've ever picked up from the Food Network lol

I KNOW RIGHT!! Still to this day I use a garbage bowl for EVERYTHING lol!! It keeps your work/cooking area clean so at the end your not left with a huge mess! Rachel Ray is a genius :) I really hope you try this tutorial out as its a lot of fun to create!

Great job on these, I make the same ones, I also have made them with six pockets, the same way just adjusting the height of each pocket. Also to help with the flaps and fold overs I cut them a few degrees on an angle. They fold over nicely and there are no rough edges, as in the pocket flap up. Another thing I do is mark on the metal part on the underneath of the punch the height of the half circle I want for the semi circle of the pocket tabs.

Thank you JoAnn! I actually will be sharing a journal with me in the oceans apart very soon :) I will be creating a journal with me for each style in order to give ideas and inspiration! I then will show a finished flip-though of all of them which I am SOO excited to be sharing! I'm so happy you loved the Heirloom Envelopes, I am planning on creating a coupe more sets with different themes very soon!

How nice, thanks Nazzy! Do you also knotch the fold area at top middle and middle of bottom fold to make an area for elastic to sit? Whenever I make these they look so worn there, so think I'll do that too!✂️👏🌸

No problem I am so happy you enjoyed Jess! I actually do not since the one time I tried that my entire folder ripped in half :/ perhaps because it was overly stuffed, however I might try adding some tape over the knotch so that it does not rip and becomes more durable!

What kind of printer should I invest in. I find myself spending so much on ink for only a few papers; or Do you print your paper at printer factory or store?

It came in the envelope punch board for We R Memory keepers, you might be able to purchase it separately or I know they sell them for very cheap on eBay or amazon! Hope this helped!

Very nice tutorial - a little disconcerting hearing "bone-filer" over and over. I believe that is a dental tool used to file bones.......I believe she was going for bone folder. But hey, still a great tutorial and much appreciated. :)
