I DID IT! i just went for it and though I had to untie a couple pages at the end and repeat them (had a little glitch in there with the last page), I managed to accomplish it and my book turned out awesome! I'll post pics of it on the Village website! Love this! Thank you so much for this little tutorial. Once I got the hang of it, it didn't seem too difficult. At first I was all thumbs...ha ha

Thank you, LorriMarie! I just finished binding my first little book working along with your video. It was just as if you were sitting beside me and helping me along. Your video is easy to follow and the coptic binding turns out beautifully. My book's dimensions were 3 1/2" x 5" so I used 6 feet of binding thread instead of 5, just to play it safe, and it was perfect. Will post photos in the Village for you to see.

Finally! I learned the Coptic Binding. I had a little difficulty, but in the end the second go was perfect!!! What I bound was my Toilet Paper Roll book. All finished except the ribbon for the tags and names of each flower in tiny print that I will type, cut apart and Modpodge to the correct picture-I hope. The theme is American Wild Flowers and I intend to learn to recognize and name all 40 of them in my book. I got the images from a Dover Publications coloring book that had little color photos 1 - 40 inside and in back of the covers so I had a bit of a choice. Thanks, LorriMarie, for all your work. More another time.

I'm so glad I found this LM!! I have so many loose book pages I've done that I didn't know what to do with. (I tore apart a altered book I had halfway finished bcuz it kept falling apart n this was before I had seen your vids on repairs for the fragile old books) yeah so I didn't Kno what to do with my loose pieces! I did it! I finished my little "tile" book and bound it together with the Coptic stitch! Thank you for giving such easy to follow directions! My first time and the only mistakes I made were putting in a page upside down and tying the finishing strings too tightly. Not bad at all for me!!

And would you consider doing a set of tutorials where we create this type of book? I've begun working on one 3 1/2" x 5" and it's so much fun working in the small format.
