Traveling for 1 month in beautiful northern Vietnam | The long Road Ep. 55

Backpacking through Northern Vietnams beautiful landscape had me speechless. A one month visa soon wasn’t enough to travel Vietnam. From Hanoi I headed to Sapa, Cat Ba (Halong Bay), Ninh Binh National Park, Phong Nha Ke Bang, Hoi An and Hue. Even after spending more time in northern Vietnam than intended, I still have to urge to coma back and visit some more places over there.
A big Thank You to everybody who let me awkwardly film them :)
Filmed handheld with the Panasonic G80/G81/G85 and the iPhone 6.
The long Road (TlR) is a journey from Germany all the way to Nepal, through the middle east, following the old silk road, China and South-East Asia. The whole journey will be overland (no planes, UFOs or portals) and put together into short videos on this channel :)

WOW SUPERB video my friend. What did you use? For my i use the Sony Fx3, wiht 24-70mm Sony. In portprod, what LUT did you use? Amazing look.

I was in Sapa for 2 days before I couldn’t take the cold anymore lol. Your videos are amazing! Where do you get your music from? it’s so soothing

I went there in December as well. It was kinda rainy, with a couple days of sunshine.

immer wenn ich die Videos sehe, bekomme ich Reisesehnsucht und denk mir: ach, so Fernreisen sind mir gerade zu teuer.Aber ich denke ich müsste einfach mal raus vor die Tür gehen, dann könnte ich auch in der Nähe viel Schönes entdecken :) deine Videos motivieren mich echt mehr rauszugehen und die Welt zu entdecken. ;) Ich habe übrigens auf jeder meiner letzten Reise etwas verloren. z.b. mein Adressbuch, ein Kleidungsstück oder ein Kabel ;)

Das denke ich mir beim Schneiden auch ^^. Ich finde auch, dass es oft sehr viel in der näheren Umgebung, bzw. in den Nachbarländern um einem herum zum sehen gibt :) und man jetzt nicht unbedingt für wenige Wochen in einen Flieger steigen muss. immer voll ärgerlich, vor allem das Adressbuch, ich frage mich wo das alles landet ^^

@@georg782 ich habe es im Bus von Haifa nach Jerusalem verloren und habe mir anfangs vorgestellt, dass bestimmt eine Familie es gefunden hat und nun allen meinen Freunden und Verwandten Briefe und Karten schicken wird. Leider nicht passiert :D

i really enjoy the video you produce ,....its really made of high quality content ....however it would be better if you could produce more video every few days , i believe that would build up the subscribers ......

Thank you :) I was thinking about splitting this one into a few shorter videos, but couldn't spin a story around it. Unfortunately the workload was quite high on this one, so it takes some time. But yeah, putting out more videos would help with the subscribers.

Hi Georg. I have few questions. How do you do all this financially?Are you a student? Is your journey a project for something or just a journey because of fun?

Hey there, good questions. So before I left, I did my bachelor degree. During these 4 years I got a student loan, from which I could save some money. But I also had several jobs. The journey is on a budget, first because I don't fly, second, all the countries, that I visit are relatively cheap to travel in and I sleep in dorms. Rent back home would be more than the places that I sleep in. The journey is a bit of both, its a project but its also a challenge (not always a fun challenge though :) ). The outcome will hopefully be a documentary. I hope this answers your questions. Cheers.
