Traveling south from Lviv, Ukraine arriving in Bukovel, in the heart of the Carpathian Mountains. Exploring the area around Bukovel, the ski resort itself (the largest in eastern Europe) and eating more incredible Ukrainian cuisine. The Carpathian Mountains are one of the most beautiful parts of Ukraine and whether you travel in the summer, winter or a shoulder season there its something here for everyone, especially in Bukovel itself.

Your videos are so watchable. I started yesterday with you Lviv vlog. And then watched backwards. I know this area very well. There’s some fantastic wall falls and thermals not far from Bukovel. ( not my favourite place very expensive but you made it so enjoyable .)

My grandparents farmed on the boarder with Romania and Moldova. So the food in this area always seems vaguely familiar and comforting.

Guys , I’m new to your channel and have really enjoyed your Ukrainian adventures. You seem a really down to earth couple and have a relaxed way of presenting which is nice to see . My wife and I moved to Ukraine in May this year ( living in odesa ) and I gave up my job in Dubai to try something different in Ukraine 🇺🇦. We are loving life here . We went to Bukovel for Christmas last year it was fab ! ( not much snow ⛄️ then either 🙄) . Keep up the great work but most of all just enjoy yourselves 😊

Appreciate your efforts for us to enjoy and share with you! Bukovel is a picturesque town and I love the wooden lodge you stayed in (I know that wooden smell, it is awesome and always reminds me of vacations in the bush/game lodges). You also made me hungry again, never had borscht, would love to taste it (especially with that yummy fresh garlic on the side!).

You implied the ski slope looked gentle. Not so. If they are long (and that looked to be) gentle (but persistent) acceleration takes a hand and you get faster and faster.....

That settles it - I'm having a huge plate of pierogies for lunch! I used to live in Western Canada which has a large Ukrainian population, and pierogies (for some reason the "vareniki" name didn't catch on there) became a huge favourite comfort food for me too. If you're ever in that part of the world, you should visit the Giant Pierogi! 🥟

@@MattandJulia I've noticed you point that out in your videos... Yeah that's cool! And I have to say, I know this sounds weird... Because it is to me, haha... I love my job, I work with Alzheimer's and long term residents, but at about 3:00 I am ready to leave! But I don't clock out until 5. If I'm feeling overwhelmed or stressed or just tired, I literally think of your videos and I feel happy. It's the weirdest thing! Never ever in my 51 years ( it's my birthday today!!) Have I EVER had something like that , that makes me feel better like that.. You guys are literally therapy for me. You guys should set up a PO box for your subscribers to send you 🎁🧧 💰 💜💙💚

Certainly in Bosnia due to the religion yeah 😊 in terms of Ukraine, not so much, but this year in particular there were lots of tourists from Saudi Arabia in Ukraine, especially in Bukovel 😊❤️
