Tawang, naam toh suna hoga? When we plan a Tawang trip, we just stay over Bomdila and Dirang for a halt without realizing that there are so many places to visit, especially offbeat. So I decided to take a ride and visit all the offbeat places near Tawang. You will be surprised there are so many beautiful corners and lush greenery everywhere. Even though you might not have a smooth ride all the time due to changing weather conditions like we did. In this video, I will be showing you everything from a hanging bridge to the famous GRL Monastery in Bomdila.
Towards the end, I will give you a tour of the beautiful homestay that I stayed in at Bomdila.

A small correction. Our driver /guide told us that the structure on the hill top is the circuit house. No, it's not exactly a circuit house... Sorry about that 😊

Arunachal is beautiful, pollution free. I have travelled extensively but by 🚁 with Air Force Pilots. Tawang is wonderful. See the tunnel also if possible. 🤪

I have visited Bomdila at least 10-12 times during my professional life in HCL. Have passed over Bomdila another 8-10 times enroute to Tawang from Tezpur... That was in 1998-2000

Fascinating land scape greenery hills falls rivers. Hilly terrain. So roads along hills are risky. Though placed are most beautiful & enriched by nature. Good monastry & it's school. One positive point that there is no Madarsas & jihadi modules. So no panic of Taliban Al Qaeda ISIS or Labbek Pakistan or PFI of India. Not risky like West Bengal or Kerala or Bihar. Fortunate state

I went to this side of arunachal a week back for few hours to meet someone.. fir ILP you reached bhalukpung and at the entrance they have a office where you can get the ILP for 1 month. which costs us Rs120 pp. it was saturday and there was no rush . can't say whether office remains open on Sundays or not.
