Chontelle Louise I went my final semester of college as well! I was (and still am) 22 when I went. I will say it was a bit weird because everyone else was a year younger but I still think it was 100% worth it to go

That makes me feel so much better haha, I honestly think I'd go regardless but I'm so awkward and self-concious so it'd be a thing on my mind! And really just a year younger? That makes me feel better too haha, where I live most people go to uni at 17/turning 18 first year and are done by 19/20 if they go, maybe UK is a bit older (yay)! haha

alondra c hi! Thank you so much for your comment! Listen to your director - do NOT bring your heat tools from home especially if they are expensive. On my first trip to Europe I brought my straightener and it sparked and smoked in my first week there. I highly suggest buying cheap hair styling tools once you get there! I borrowed my roommates UK hair dryer (I forget what the brand was) and I bought a Tresseme straightener for decently cheap which I used almost daily, and now I have one for future trips! Hope that helps

The voltage conversion basically means that what our outlets give out is different than what their outlets give out. Kind of like when iPads first came out and we were told to “not use the big iPad box when charging your iphone, it’s bad for the battery” like that but more intense. Hope that makes sense!

Thanks for that info! I'll be sure to not pack my expensive heat tools. What about a phone charger? Did you also buy a charger there or did you buy an adapter for that? I'm nervous about all the conversions so I'm going to be leaving most stuff behind, but I want to make sure I'm prepared to charge my basic electronics. Thank you so much for replying! alondra c phone charger isn’t a huge deal bc it’s already a small voltage so you can use an adaptor with that. You can just use an adaptor with your computer as well as long as it has the big box on it that regulates the voltage (for example, all Mac computers are this way. The BIG box that plugs into the wall versus a tiny 2 prong or 3 prong). I hope that makes sense! And you’re so welcome! Stay tuned I have another study abroad video coming next month too! 🤗🤗
