Күн бұрынAfter leaving Texas, we head to New Mexico. We spend 2 days at White Sands National Park, New Mexico. White Sands is a dog friendly park and Brodie had the time of his life.
In this series, I travel across the country with my dog, we trek from Boca Raton, Florida all the way to some of Utah's most gorgeous National Parks, making a bunch of stops along the way.
This series will teach you tips and tricks, do's and don'ts of traveling with your dog. I'll review some of the destinations and rank their dog friendliness.

You might not ever get all the sand out of Brodie’s hair! He was really rubbing his head in it! Good thing he was wearing his hater blockers to keep it out of his eyes! I love that dog!

I lived an hour from White Sands in Las Cruces for 35 years. Went so many times. You know it’s not really sand. You were lucky you could take Brodie, they used to not allow pets. They used to rent boards you could use. One of the worst sunburns I ever had was from a day at the monument. BTW, there is grass, but you have to look for it. Alamogordo doesn’t have much grass. If you had gone an hour up to Cloudcroft or Ruidoso you would have been amazed at the difference. In the winter ppl can be skiing in the mountains & others are sunbathing at the monument

A normal body temp for a retriever is 102f. That sun and heat on the dunes must have been uncomfortable for Brody. 👅🐾🐾

You’ve got to be careful there. I got the worst sunburn of my life at White Sands in about 30 minutes I was so blistered. It was a sunny day!

My favourite beautiful dog in the WHOLE world : Brodie. Great camera work btw. Especially love the one from Brodie's back. Well that sand boarding device was a bit of a disappointment & they make you buy them? Instructions should be included as to the best terrain surfaces.

I am originally from Alamogordo. My family and I used to visit the White Sands on the regular. I’m so glad you and Brodie had so much fun. If you’d gone further into the park the plants disappear and the dunes get significantly higher. You take that disc down the same path a few times and ZOOM! We used to have contests to see who could slide out the furthest. 🤣 Sunsets really are amazing there. 🥰
