I immigrated to Canada as permanent resident to in 1989. I drove taxi cab in downtown Toronto and sometimes worked at local subzi mandi. I also worked at several other weekend jobs. I used to walk 5 Kms from Toronto Pearson’s Airport to Mississauga to save $1.40 bus fare, snow or not. I completed my four years engineering degree from downtown Toronto but there were no job opportunities and decided to move back to NYC. Worked at restaurants and gas stations before finding a professional job in New Jersey. This is absolutely correct that one had to work really hard as first generation of immigrants well so in early 80’s. I am really happy for new young immigrants finding opportunities in US/ Canada.

No people immigrate simply because they believe the life they can get there compared their home country will be far better for their level of competence and calibre in their home country plus relative strength and purchasing power of the currency plus better infrastructure both soft and hard

You should move to Canada. Dubai will never make you a citizen. Canadian govt/people will make you a fellow citizen once you have lived/worked there for a few years. You do not want to spend your whole life in a country and still be considered as an outsider.

You r very much right but all my friends r in good place ....they all migrated after 12th in same year as mani i.e 2017 Its very very common in our jatt families. We even had marriages in punjab (banda wali kudi) after 12th entirely for canada

@@palampreetsingh8197 I am living in Canada for 11 years, I can tell life is not that rosy here as it is shown, I have seen the good and bad over here. I am just saying immigration is not for everyone, for some it works, for some it doesn’t, and when it doesn’t, life becomes hell, so everyone should carefully assess their situation, should not blindly do what others are doing.

Every immigrant had more or less same experience in their early days or years. When we came here in Canada in 2008, my husband and both kids were doing 2 or 3 jobs at the same time every day for few years
