Been to Montana and Wyoming many times. One year on 4th of July we were at the top of the bear tooth. Got out of our car and listen to Ray Charles sing the national anthem gives me goose bumps even now

The appeal of your video is that it makes me feel like you are in a casual conversation with me as I ride in the passenger seat . It reminds me of how I talk to my wife when we travel. I always let her know what I feel about what I am seeing.

Butte has the largest population of Irish-Americans per capita of any American city. A lot of people from my area, here in Ireland, went to work in the copper mines there when our own mines dried up. I would like to visit the area sometime. Great video as usual Robert. Stay safe out there.

I'm surprised there is anything left of Butte Montana. When I went by it in the early 70's they were digging under the town and it looked like the whole thing would fall in.

My son lives in Butte - when I was up there this past summer, I couldn't believe the renovations especially in the downtown area. My son says a lot of Californians came in and bought up property...and of course that led to a whole other discussion. I live in Southern California so I just smile and nod when those discussions take place, hahaha.

This was a nice treat. Grew up and lived most of my life in Butte for 35 years before moving down here to Arizona. At 14:06 you drove pass my old employmener at Town Pump corporate office. OMG you even drove through the neborhood I lived in. This was nice, hope to go back and visit my parents when pandemic is over.

Montana is a gorgeous state. I heard there are a lot of drug problems and homeless in Missoula. I checked out housing prices and no wonder. Flathead Lake is gorgeous!! Next time check out the National Bison Range. It's a great place to see lots of bison, elk and bears. It's on the way to Missoula from Glacier.

Hello Robert, it has been awhile since I wrote on you channel, but I do watch it on a large TV screen. After watching and reading so many issue on our country's political issues I started to get depressed and some headaches. I knew I need a good medicine and inspiration and honestly I find it right here on your channel. It has it all to cure it. Cheers from Oregon.

You mentioned "an interesting mountain" North of Gardiner... it's called Devils Side. The cult Church Universal and Triumphant (now called Royal Teton Ranch) wanted it renamed Angels Accent but the USGS said forget it.

If you decide to head out to Montana-Wyoming-Idaho to see northern Idaho this coming summer might I suggest you hit Beartooth Highway, Chief Joseph Highway, Dead Indian Pass, and the northeast corner of Yellowstone, Lamar Valley, Roosevelt, Tower Falls. Then out Sylvan Pass, Cody, Wyoming, Lander, Wyoming and Sinks Canyon. Check out the Sinks...read about it. Seeing an episode about Couerd’Alene would be cool!

I remember when my father and I took a trip from Tampa Florida all the way out west we stayed overnight in Red Lodge before going into Yellowstone park the next day. What a trip that was! It was right after dances with wolves the movie had come out, so we visited many of the spots in South Dakota where the movie was filmed at And got to see quite a few pioneer museums. Was a wonderful trip!

Driving to Gardiner and into Yellowstone is absolutely SPECTACULAR and it's tough not to stop and check a few sights. The Yellowstone River is really scenic too. Hey Robert, amazing how a Cuban American who is touring the country come right thru my backyard of Yellowstone, what makes it even more odd is I spent the first couple of years working with the National park service at Everglades national park outside of Miami, I know Homestead and Florida City too well, lol when you come back you have a place to park your camper right here at Old Faithful for as long as you need as long as you bring some Cuban coffee, lol i got addicted to Pinecrest Bakery and a morning Huevos, Jamon o Tocubo, and Papas Fritas and Tostadas and Cafe con Leche

How is staying in designated RV campgrounds any different from staying in hotels? When we travel we stay in hotels. Instead of the joy of driving a pickup truck towing an anchor we are in a 10 yo Corvette C-6. Comfortable , fast and with incredible handling. Oh, it gets nearly over 25 mpg. We can afford a lot hotel rooms for the cost of a truck and trailer of speciality RV.

Nice work Robert! That was an awesome 30 mins in these days of winter covid shutdown. We love Montana. It has a few warm months out of year that are so picturesque. Whitefish, Missoula, and Bozeman are beautiful city/towns but taxes are getting out of control. I might avoid Helena and Butte. I recall cancers were elevated there related to mining. And there's also a precarious toxic sludge damned from years of open pit mining. I wouldn't want to live anywhere near or down stream. I recall it happened in Durango, CO on a much smaller scale a few years back. I didn't realize Gardiner was that touristy. And Yellowstone is magical. It's nice so many people were able to see it during the shutdown. Sounds like your keychain crashes into the steering column when your vehicle jostles over bumps.
